"7.23.12 made a reservation and received a confirmation email. Called on 7.25.12, 7.26.12, 7.27.12 and got no response. They never showed or called on saturday. DO NOT EVER USE THEM!!! They are horrible and take no responsibility."
"I used this company 2 years ago when they were out of New Jersey. Now they are a "different" company based out of Queens. Let me just say, this has turned into literally the WORST company to work with during your move. The "people" in the office are the RUDEST and ineffective resource. Someone on the phone at the office had me on speaker and was laughing at me with her co-workers when I was upset and calling about being quoted $375 (for 3 men, 1 truck at $75 an hour with a minimum of 5 hours) and then told something different. I get it, I assumed that there would be SOME additional costs in the fine print; you have to charge me for some materials, OK with me. You have to go up 2 flights of stairs, OK, I'll pay you a few extra bucks. But after you've packed up and broken down ALL of my furniture and then show me a piece of paper with a total bill of $1,850 dollars. I AM GOING TO HAVE AN ISSUE. That is over 3x the quoted price. Needless to say, I called the office upset. This company charges you $500 for tape, saran wrap, and blankets used to wrap large furniture. Then they charged me for "long hall" at $100 per mover (total of $300) to move my furniture 50 ft away from my door to their parked truck. Then they hit traffic before EVEN GETTING to my house and charged me 3 hours travel time. Then, I was also charged $100 PER worker for EACH flight of stairs. They charged us for 7 hours work time because he "assumed" it would be longer than the 5 hour minimum (even though it only took him 2 hours to break down all the furniture). Needless to say, I spent at least an HOUR back and forth on the phone explaining I wouldn't be able to pay. Then the woman on the phone threatened to take our furniture into storage in New Jersey and hold it there for $50 a day until we pay in full and pick it up ourselves. IT WAS RIDICULOUS. Eventually we got the price down to $1,000. But it did not go without some tears, a broken leg on my amour, a broken fire alarm, 2 thrown out box springs, and ONLY 1 assembled piece of furniture. Oh and did I mention, I had to provide the tools because they left the office without them. I WOULD NOT recommend this company to ANYONE."
"Absolute SCAM ARTISTS. Similar to most reviews - I was quoted an all inclusive rate of $375.00 (for 5 hours of moving) and was later charged $1,190.00 (for 3.5 hours of moving). Items moved (locally) included: clothing (I packed), 2 mirrors, and a TV. No bed, no couch. Not until after they loaded my belongings into their truck and drove to my new apartment did they present me with the bill and tell me they wouldn't unload until I paid in full and in cash, only. Additional charges Shelli Van Lines creatively invented included: 2 hours of travel time - "Their" travel time back to their warehouse, after my move was complete. An Elevator Fee. (Would it have been cheaper if my building were a walk-up? ...Sarcasm...) One "Other" Fee, which was never explained to me and a Packing Material Fee. NONE of which were justified. Shelli Van Lines arrived 2 hours late, the morning of the move, and when they did finally start to unload, the movers left the truck open and unattended with my belongings scattered all over the sidewalk for, what I witnessed, at least 15 minute intervals. To top it all off, the driver refuse to give me a copy of the contract and bill... Quote: "Find a copier and pay for your own copies." The people working for this company are incredibly sad. I feel for them - that they have no idea, the difference between right and wrong, and that they must take something really strong, just to be able to sleep at night. Lawsuits - Here they come..."
"They promised they will move on Sunday. They never showed-up! I kept calling. No response. They are stupid. On Monday I started calling they hung up on you. They are the stupidest company. Never nevr use them. I lost opportunity to rent my home because of these stupid people."
"COMPLETE CROOKS! Stay away from this place... they damaged my furniture and both the door frame and window blinds of the apartment I was leaving (which I had to pay for). They moved me and then at the end, charged me just about DOUBLE of the original estimate. I spent the next 3 weeks trying to get both the original girl I spoke to (all the sudden out on leave) and/or a supervisor on the phone. NO ONE would call me back. It's like they took my money and ran. Stupidly, at the time, I signed the paperwork thinking the total was the actual total charge... it was really the new owed balance (after my sizeable deposit). So my credit charge was charged and I was stuck. RUN FAR AWAY from these thieves! Don't trust them with your stuff!!"
