Reviews
"Wortendyke Train Station in Midland Park is one of two former train stations in the borough (the other being the eponymous Midland Park Station which was located at Sicomac Avenue and long since demolished). It was served by the NY Susquehanna and Western Railroad from its' opening in 1871, when the borough was still known as Franklin Township, until 1966 when all service ceased. This station house, unlike its sister station house, was spared from demolition, and today serves as a historical link to the glory days of rail commutation. A pottery shop, which still hosts lessons in pottery making, uses the station house today. Outside the station house, there is an old rail car, and just a few steps away is the famous Hot Dog Caboose, a popular eatery built in a remodeled caboose car."
