"The worst service I have ever come across!! And here's why - 2 months ago my husband and I visited this branch of key bank to get me added to his HSA account. The first time it was such a long wait to meet the branch Manager that we had to just leave after 30 mins being tired of the wait! The second time we somehow got through and the branch manager helped us through added me into my husband's account and also issued my debit cards and told us that the cards are gonna arrive with in 10 days. Once I received my cards I tried to activate them and I couldn't do it on call!! So I had to visit the bank and that was the 3rd visit. This time I approached the other staff instead of the branch manager since it was a petty issue. And to my surprise the people behind the desk did not know what had to be done so they could not help me instead they were telling me to call up the number and get it done online! If I could have done that, am I a fool to visit the branch again??? Then they told me to wait for the branch manager. After a long wait we were frustrated and we left yet again! After a couple of weeks we went back and this time it was a different branch manager and the previous one was no more working here and that person had not even forwarded my issue to the current one instead it just lay there!!! And the manager did something on the computer and told that my name had not been added yet! So it was all done again from the scratch god knows what was wrong. Then after a week I tried activating my card again but of no help. By the my patience with this branch was done so we visited the Binghamton branch and my work was done in a span of 10 mins at my first visit! And the branch manager there explained what was the issue too!! I might visit Binghamton branch i future but never this branch! Cuz coming here is just a waste of time and nothing else!"
"I have been a Key Bank customer since 1986. I opened my account in Syracuse, NY and kept it after I moved to Broome. When they opened a local bank I was thrilled, until I went there. The staff at the JC branch is arrogant and miserable. Management must make them count everything five times because it takes ten minutes for each transaction. So much for being a loyal customer, I am going to M&T."
"Poor costumer service. I took my mother in-law there for a simple "medallion" signature authorization, and the bank representative gave my 95 year old mother in-law such a run around it was very uncalled for. We will need to go there 2 times to get it straightened out. Not an easy thing for someone of her age. We had the call an insurance company to get someone knowledgeable to interact with the bank rep. I left a message for the bank rep. to call us back, which she did not. I will need to call this bank again tomorrow. Not customer friendly and did not seem very knowledgeable."
"First of I would like to say that this is the first bank that I've ever opened myself. I rated it as 1 because there is absolutely nothing to like about the service that this location provides. I just got an account couple days ago, and I want to cancel it as soon as I can. People who I've spoken to that works there seems very oblivious to their banks policy. The person who created my account did everything on his own. Did not bother to ask me what I had in mind, but just picked "what's best for me." After setting up the account, I deposited a check and I asked him if I could use the money right away and he said yes. He even told me I can come to the location and get money when I need it. So I was very happy and I paid my Electricity bill right away only to find out the next day that my check is on hold and I won't be able to do anything until the 11th of this month. Why I hate the service? Because that man downright lied to my face be it for ignorance of their policy or just to get me to continue with their service. Now not only will I have a late fee from my electric company I will also receive a fee from this bank. One of the worst decision of my life."
