"I received the bill double the toll money due tell me why there is $100 admin fee to send me this darn bill in mail. Now a days some people don't carry cash to pay and you guys don't accept cards so if you tell us go we will send you bill I shouldn't expect triple or 4 times money. It should be toll due only. Ripping people off."
"Congrats. You found the New Jersey Turnpike office. Believe me, most of these comments are either directed towards EZ-Pass (which should be directed towards THEIR management) or how the road isn't great. I will say though, for a toll roads in NJ, they're not bad or great (NJTP/GSP) There will be potholes. There will be traffic. Just be thankful it's not LA/Dallas traffic/roads. The NJ Turnpike tolls can get pricey at times. Good for what it is."
"The real definition of "Highway Robbery" comes from driving through New Jersey. The first notice I received was for $33. A $3 toll with an administrative fee of $30, which I paid. A second notice for $53.10. A $3.00 toll with an administrative fee of $50, which I also paid. Sounds pretty fishy to me. I'll never drive through New Jersey again!"
"Terrible!!!! Came from out of state. Never been to the east coast at all. Didn’t know you had to have an EZ-Pass. Instead of sending one paper with one administration fee of $50. They decided to send like ten and now I owe almost $400!!! I had one customer representative who was nice and a decent person tell me I could get the EZ-pass and then they would waive all my fees and just have to pay the toll fees. A supervisor then came on the line and said that I was misinformed and they could only waive one administrative fee. Why do they send multiple letters? Why does each letter need a $50 fee. It was the same license number. This is highway robbery and this is a disgusting way to have out of state people pay for their roads!!! They are complete scumbags here!!! Every toll we went through that had a person we paid. Maybe they should hire toll workers again. They like it this way so they can trick people into paying for their roads!!!! What a disgraceful place!!! My state has no tolls and I told everyone about this. No one wants to come to this stupid state now. NJ has nothing to offer!!! Don’t bother visiting this state!!! It will be nothing but a headache. Who wants to come home from vacation and get like ten letters in the mail with $6 charge $3 charge and $50 bucks a letter just to send the damn letter!! They should be ashamed of themselves!!!!!!!"
"Roads in Eastern Europe maintained better than the New Jersey Turnpike. My vehicle, and I, met one of the many 3' potholes scattered about the roadway on the interchange from Route 80 to Route 95 in the early morning hours after a long shift at work. Instant blowout in low profile tires, rim bent. AAA not permitted to tow from New Jersey Turnpike. NJ TP tow truck driver advises he "picks up 4 cars daily" from this exact spot because the pothole has been around since last October. $200 service charge, $8/mile for tow to their shop (2.5 miles away). Pay NJ Turnpike, then call AAA for the second tow of the night. $550 in repairs (2 new tires, rim repair) + tow cost. "WELCOME TO THE GARDEN STATE!""
