"This review is related to hospital management only and does not include surgeon services. I had surgery at this location on September 28, 2023. The process was running smooth as long as the neurosurgeon was involved during pre-surgery, surgery, and post surgery. When the neurosurgeon had completed all post surgery items and handed the reigns off, then the problems started. The surgery was scheduled to begin at 1:30pm and was progressing according to schedule. I had discussed with the neurosurgeon about an overnight stay and agreed that it was the best option for everyone, including friends who provided rides. The next morning begins with normal procedures and checks, and then I am informed that I should eat something lite for breakfast to ensure it remains where it should. No worries, I ordered eggs and yogurt. We will have breakfast delivered in 45 minutes, still no worries. Approximately, 9am, one of the nurses provides much needed pain medication and informs me that as soon as I eat breakfast, have an x-ray, then I will be discharged. Unfortunately, radiology is backed up and unable to provide x-ray at this time. Approximately 10 am, same response. Just need an x-ray to be discharged, but radiology is too busy for me. Same response every hour until I say that I have been hearing the same response since 9 am and really need to get this finished. Finally, at 5 p.m., someone informs me they are taking me to radiology, so I am close to being discharged. About one minute later, the gentleman that was taking me to radiology received a phone call canceling my x-ray. He speaks with several people and finally has the ability to get thru to someone who agrees to bring me to radiology. We arrive in the radiology department, and there are zero patients with several radiology personnel. I ask one of the radiologists what the hel is going on because I have been informed since 9 am that radiology is too busy and backed up to take my x-ray. The radiologist tells me that she personally has been calling since 9:30am for me to be taken down for the x-ray. There is a definite breakdown when one person says one thing and another person provides an answer that is 180 degrees different. How many times per day does this occur, and what is the additional cost per day to the hospital? This is basic communication and is costing tens of thousands of dollars per day when it could have easily been avoided."

Dr. Pentyala did not even bother to see her patient before discharging her from the hospital. Nurses are very laid back. Not even comparable to Morristown or Hackensack hospitals..."
