Blink Fitness 54th

"I have been going to the 54th Blink for several years. The gym is clean, good equipment. Last week I was robbed, someone watched me use the combination lock and stole $30 the cash in my wallet but did not take anything else. I filled out an incident report but have not been contacted by anyone. This is a good gym but I would be very careful with valuables in the locker rooms."

"7/1: showers not hot. Toilet paper put in bathrooms in men's room. Is anyone running this place. ? Update 5/16 : blink says they're actively working to solve this 'complex' issue of a shower working. Guess they are getting the finest minds in the world to figure this difficult topic out. They're going to have to solicit some PHDs to figure out how to put on this shower curtain. Update 5/14 - no towels but we pay 18 a month for it. Workout. Hoping to go shower before going back to work only to be told they're out of towels. towel fee is a scam. If you get it dispute with your bank. if 75 percent of the showers are working we should be getting 25 percent off monthly dues until it's fixed. demand this before joining the gym. This thing has been broken for weeks. People waiting to shower, running late for work and meetings. Not Acceptable."

"It's okay. Just a gym. Have only one leg press. Need more like this. Takes a while to use this machine and there are always people waiting. Each person can take at least 30 minutes so that means only 30 or so people can use it each day. The scale is ALWAYS OFF. Seems no one knows how simple it is to zero the scale (little screw on the left side of the weight bar is zeroed when it balances in the middle)."

"Very good gym, clean, machines in good shape. Heavy bag available, TRX, showers and locker room, towel service available to for a fee, personal trainers available for a fee. No classes available but that's fine with me. Low monthly price, and I get a discount through my employer so it's good for what it is, a place to work out and lift weights. Update: they have all new treadmills now. Much better than the previous ones. They did some rearranging and there is more room now it feels like."

"I was initially gonna give this spot a 3 star because it is a condensed area even with 2 floors but what earned the extra star is the friendliness of the staff, by far the kindest I've seen so far and most of the patrons were middle aged people getting a short work in whether it be on work break or just getting out of their homes. Translation, I didn't have to wait eons for a machine to be freed up because some kid was doing supersets or just idling away time on the phone in-between reps. Maybe it's because I came on a Monday, who knows. I'd chalk it up to coming here at the right place at the right time because I'm pretty sure this place gets loaded during peak hours. A few Smith machines were broken but I wasn't planning on using them today anyway so I won't factor that in my review. All in all, decent location."
