"Chad helped me out literally 4 minutes before closing and put air in my tires and adjusted my seat with a hex wrench. So nice and most places would have turned me away. Thank you!!"
"Just had a near death experience, but survived with leg and arm contusions. Picked my bike up after tune up at nyc cello HK. Crossing the west side highway went to turn slightly and the handle bar turned but the wheel didn’t. Crashed in the middle of the west side highway at the 43rd street intersection. The incompetence could have killed me. My leg is screaming in pain. Malpractice."
"Came here to fix my bike, took it back and gears were not functioning properly, so took the bike back for further adjustment. On my initial visit there was a very nice guy at the counter and a good mechanic that was keen to provide solutions. But when I took it back for readjustment there was a skinny guy with a ball cap which was very rude in every aspect. First, he rudely explained to me that my gears work and noise coming out of them is normal. Ok, this might be normal, but why be rude about it? Then he put the bike on the stand to check as if he was doing me a favor. Then he commented really frustrated that my bike was dirty. Sorry man, I should have sparkled clean the bike before bringing it for service. I own 4 bikes and I was really looking fwd for this to be my go-to bike shop since i recently had moved in the area and its around the corner, but I prefer to commute a bit more and spend my money to another shop. Only pitty is that the other guys there seemed pretty cool."
"I had an urgent bike repair situation during a short visit to NYC and contacted NYC Velo. Andrew the shop owner, responded promptly to my email. Despite a setback with the assigned repair person falling ill, Andrew went above and beyond by personally coming to the store in Hell's Kitchen to fix my broken spoke and even changing the tires. The service was efficient and I was back on my bike within the hour. I appreciate the dedication and excellent customer service at NYC Velo-Highly recommended. Thank you Andrew!"
"I forgot to bring my kit out and had a flat earlier today. This NYC Velo was the open spot opened in the area. I had a great time chatting with the staffs. Shout out to Giovanni for the superb service as well as his recommendation on bike routes around the Catskill Mountain."
