Blink Fitness 116th

"I’m an international student from Europe. This is the worst gym I've ever been to. There are always a lot of people and it is difficult to carry out the training as planned. Despite this, it is still possible to train in it and if this was all my experience, I would give 3 stars to this gym. Today I needed to cancel my membership because I am returning home and flying out of the US. When canceling, I had to pay $75, although on their website and even in the message with the payment receipt it says “You may cancel your contractual agreement without penalty (60.00 buy out fee) if you are medically disabled and cannot work out for a period of 6 months or more or have relocated 25 miles or more away from any Blink Fitness Valid proof is required" I have all the necessary proof that I am leaving the states, but I was simply ignored when I emailed about it or came directly to this place. Perosnal couldn't even select this option because their computer was throwing an error. I had to wait 40 minutes for some manager who never came and I had to pay and leave. The most terrible experience with a gym I've ever had."

"Nice to have options of monthly without year commitment. Some staff are super friendly, huge space with lots of equipment. It is however SUPER crowded almost all the time. On weekdays, by 5:30am all the machines I want to use are full. Also be aware 45-day cancellation period AND can't change home club to anything south of current club so not ALL clubs. Or 98 or whatever."

"This gym tries its best, but unfortunately it's really just too busy to properly function. Any time of day, especially Monday through Thursday, it's just so crowded that your workout takes twice as long as it should and is way more stressful. The balance between cardio and strength equipment seems really off — there are always empty treadmills, but some machines have a line of people waiting. The new equipment is nice, but it resulted in some things being taken away which worsened the crowding. The staff are helpful and things are clean, but the low prices just aren't worth the hassle."

"The place is clean, most staff are friendly, but no matter what time you come, the weight machines are always taken with people that are chilling or texting. Hence, you have to be like an eagle watching the machine you want. I would pay so much more for a more exclusive gym nearby, which there isn’t, so this gym is essentially full of everybody that lives within the 10 block round radius. Like I’m talking about men will put their stuff on 3 machines to intentionally hog the machine (so nobody else will sit there), and they will just interchange in between. This is owned by Equinox; they should open an Equinox franchise nearby since New York Sports Club closed."
