"Such a nice place love going to places like this and supporting indie bookstores. Shame I love so far away otherwise I would be there all the time."
"Syracuse needed a downtown indie bookstore, and I’m pumped it finally has one. In my experience with downtown, indie bookstores, recent releases and best sellers get a lot of shelf space–and with good reason. At Parthenon, the vibe is a bit different, and that’s a good thing. There’s a lot of empty space in the store and on the shelves (space for more of those best-sellers, I suppose), but the store doesn’t lack for selection. The staff was helpful and courteous, and the atmosphere was great. Will definitely be back."
"Worst experience ever. Drove an hour and a half to get here and asked to use restroom. Woman at desks first responded with it’s for customers only. I responded “ I would like to be one but needed the restroom first. She said “you don’t need to be nasty.” You should really be should really improve your customer service skills ma’am. She also told me that if I was unhappy there was another store in Liverpool."
"My absolute favorite bookstore in Syracuse. Ann, Selena, and Jude are friendly, dedicated to helping you find the perfect book and always willing to spend time engaging with their customers. The many events hosted make for an enjoyable night, refreshing in the lack of alcohol."
"Support your local bookstore!! Parthenon is a cozy little shop downtown. The vibe is very progressive and there is much support for women and local artists here (love to see it). There is also a small cafe where you can get drinks while you settle down with a good book. Also, the wall art is stellar!"
