Nestled in the heart of Western Pennsylvania, City Park in DuBois is a picturesque haven for nature enthusiasts and tourists alike. Located northeast of Pittsburgh and southeast of Erie, this charming city is enveloped by lush forests, serene streams, and abundant wildlife, making it a paradise for nature lovers and hunters. For those who revel in wildlife, the majestic Elk herds of Elk County are just a short 18-mile journey to the north.
DuBois is renowned for its vibrant baseball and softball scene, hosting numerous prestigious tournaments at its top-tier fields—Showers, Heindl, and Stern. Events such as the Small College World Series, the Eastern Regional Little League Tournament, the PIAA State games, and PBR tournaments are just a few examples of the high-caliber competitions held here. The ballfields in DuBois are acclaimed as the finest in the tri-state area.
In addition to its natural beauty and sports facilities, DuBois boasts a rich cultural scene. The Reitz Theater showcases local talent with plays throughout the year, while the Winkler Gallery provides a space for budding artists to hone their craft. During the summer, Musicfest enlivens Thursday evenings with performances on the stage in DuBois Memorial Park.
Education and healthcare are also pillars of the DuBois community. Penn State University has a local campus, and Penn Highlands Healthcare offers state-of-the-art medical facilities. The DuBois Regional Airport, located just eight miles from the city center, ensures easy access for visitors and residents alike.
Conveniently situated near major highways—US 219, Interstate 80, and Route 322—DuBois serves as an excellent hub for commerce and travel. The city also demonstrates a commitment to community service and environmental sustainability, with initiatives like Dumpster Day on the first Wednesday of every month at the City Garage on 10 Parkway Drive.
Residents interested in contributing to the community can volunteer their time and talents by serving on public boards. The City of DuBois is actively seeking letters of interest from residents eager to make a difference.

"Came over from NJ to meet some family from Ohio! Central place for us to meet! Beautiful day in the park with lunch under the pavilion! Such a lovely park, but we didn't do any water cause it was a little cool and windy! Playground was super fun and an exciting baseball game was going on! Will be back in the fall!"
"Amazing sports facilities. Everything thing is there Baseball Softball Basketball Tennis Picnic pavilion Water park Pool Just incredible."
"My daughter and son in law rented the pool for 2 hours in the evening as they had their families in to celebrate their son's 1st birthday. The pool is something that Dubois can be extremely proud of. Also, although we didn't use them, we were very impressed with the extensive playground and ball fields. What a gem."
"Wonderful trails and wildlife everywhere. It's beautiful in the morning and before Sunset. If you don't want to get a lot of sun you can go across the bridge at either end of the trail, there's another gravel path 90% shaded throughout."
"Amazing park with a lot to offer for all ages. This is a good spot to walk around and bring your dog. There is lots of space for kids to play or have a picnic. A city pool and playground are well kept. Basketball courts are also available to use for all ages. This park is very safe to bring a family. The only bad part is if you have a young child, I would suggest bringing them during the day. I mention this due to teenage kids using a lot of the playground equipment to sit on and gather around."
