"It went in the store to purchase a shotgun. Two ladies were behind the counter the other talking about her weekend. I stood there for 25 min being ignored. So I go out side were guys were working asking him to help. He did they put me down as layaway without me knowing. The women up front did my background check wrong. I said just give my money back. She smiled and said sorry not refund on layaway. I didn't tell them I wanted laws away. Soo they robbed me of $100"
"Very nice people worth every penny my dad has always found something like a pistol and very reasonable price I usually go myself when I want something like a speaker but the last time I went I asked for a speaker the button was hard to push in so I asked for it for 5 and he said he would ask his manager she said 10 I had to say no because it wasn’t worth that much over all it was 25 I’m still thinking should I have taken that deal well at least you all know check if it works before you buy. And if you are afraid to break the object ask if someone behind the counter will look at it first. I rate this place a five because they are very nice, loyal and helpful."
"This place should be shut down. They knowingly buy stolen property. Even if you call ahead and give them a brief description of the property and leave your name and number. They DON'T CARE. 2 days later they buy said stolen property! they will tell you that it doesn't matter and they want a police report. Then they make you buy your stolen property back. Even with a police report, they still make you buy it back. SHADY!"
"If I could give a -5 stars for the manager of Dans, I would. I purchased a small Yamaha guitar $169 and a Fender Champ 2x for $250 The main draw on the amp was I was told by the salesman, if I paid out the items between December 1-6th I would get $100 in store credit on the amp and $17 on the guitar. When I went and paid it out, the manager “Jonathan Pogue?”, came out and told me an employee made a mistake and they wouldn’t honor the coupons. They would only give me $35 total and offered me a pathetic 15% off the next item I purchased as long as I purchased item from December 7th - 24th. Jonathan blamed it on his District Manager, he also made sure he removed the coupons so I wouldn’t have them to back up what I’m saying. I had already taken pics of them. Most managers would have honored a deal THEIR company initiated! Jonathan has a lot to learn about how badly you can damage a company’s reputation when you right out lie to a customer. I never go into a pawn shop to sell, I only purchase items and I have purchased many items from Dans in Somerset, but I would be hard pressed to purchase anything from a company that makes every lame excuse they can come up with to keep from honoring their word! Buyer Beware! They are not a company that keeps their word. If the company I work for had this same situation, we would keep our word, and our reputation by doing right by what we promised the customer, not by telling the customer even though it’s our mistake, we don’t care, we are going to change everything after you signed our agreement and already paid for all merchandise in full. Jonathan did tell me he would give me back my money on the amp, and not charge me a penalty, to kind since I had my time and money wrapped up in the amp, that just translates to Mr Customer I’m giving you nothing, and my company can change the rules, at anytime, whenever we want, and Me Customer, there’s nothing you can do about it.
