"Hear me out on this….. The level of care was fine (5 stars), but the whole experience was WEIRD. I felt uncomfortable the whole time. Making an appt was easy. However, be aware there is no text, call or email to remind you of your appt. So, if you’re someone who needs reminders (like me, who missed my appt), be aware. He is still requiring you to wear a mask. When I first arrived I was directed to sit in the chair. He then proceeded to take a piece of tape and put it on my face to cover the gap where the mask sits on the nose. As you can imagine that was not comfortable, nor was it expected as he never vocalized that he was going to do it. We went through my patient history. Keep in mind this business is not run as if it’s the 2020s. Everything is handwritten, and nothing appears to be kept in a computer. Of course this all takes extra time. (And you can’t use a credit card here either) All the equipment seems super outdated. The eye exam itself seemed to be VERY thorough. His face was literally ON my face…which in hindsight maybe for my sake I’m glad the mask was on. At one point, without any explanation he put yellow in color drops into my eyes. It burned. (This isn’t my first eye appt, and I had never experience this liquid in my eyes before). He then proceeded to put more drops (of another liquid) in my eyes and then dabbed out my eyes as if he was cleaning out the first yellow liquid. While he was doing this, drops were dripping down my face, under the tape that he had put on my face/mask. At the end, I went to the area where I expected to pick out new frames. He simply asked for my current glasses and wrote down the style so he could just order a new pair of the old frames. I didn’t want that, I wanted new frames. But due to the uncomfortable experience I didn’t care. I just wanted to get out of there. I’m not saying he is a bad eye doctor, I just want you to be aware you’re in for an interesting experience. You’ll get a thorough eye exam with no explanation of anything that is happening. There’s no small talk, just a lot of awkward silence. I will not be going back."
