"Had a very pleasant experience there during a procedure of my wife recently. All the staff, nurses, and in particular Dr. Brian McKenna were excellent! We felt at home and was treated like a family! Highly recommended!!"
"I had a procedure at Peconic Bay Medical Center early August 2024 and I had an excellent experience. From the beginning of my experience with being greeted by the very friendly and helpful security staff and the kind and helpful admissions staff. They escorted me up to the floor I had to be for the procedure where my great experience continued. Every nurse and medical professional that came in to the preop and postop area introduced themselves and explained everything they were doing and always made sure I had any questions answered. I truly had been cared for. Dr Brian McKenna also came in before the procedure to explain everything he was going to be doing. I was nervous before my procedure, as many of us can be before any procedure. This hospital and its lovely staff calmed my nerves and I would recommend it to my family and friends."
"The maternity ward was absolutely amazing! I was nervous because it was my first time there, had a planned C-section, but the nursing staff was soo kind and helpful. They were always attentive to my needs and made sure I was comfortable. My doctor ( Dr. McKenna) was absolutely amazing as well. I got a personal call from my doctor to make sure I was doing well and was taken care of by the staff at the hospital. I couldn't be any happier with my experience with having my last baby."
"UNPROFESSIONAL…RUDE…HORRIFIC. I understand a professional job is a type of employment that typically requires specialized education, training, and expertise in a particular field. These jobs often come with higher compensation, typically money and benefits. So, I had to have a surgery done, and after I woke up. I was vomiting an INSANELY ABNORMAL amount and I felt SO SO MUCH PAIN. I have never ever had a surgery before, so I was really terrified overall. The following morning the surgeon walks in and without a second thought after stepping in, he tells me to “SHUT UP AND STOP CRYING”. I have never ever felt so much betrayal in my life. It hurts to know people like this exists, to work solely for the money instead of passion. The money should just be a bonus, not many people can say they do something they love and care for and be compensated! Now, I don’t care about him since he clearly didn’t care about me and after over 40 years of experience. I think a “professional” surgeon should know better. I also honestly really hope he never touches another patient again. However, despite my terrible terrible experience. They’re are a VERY LITTLE handful of kind-hearted individuals like some of the PCT’s, Nurses’ and even Doctor’s that truly care. As a patient, you know and you can even sense the genuine care when someone truly cares for your well-being. To everyone who reads this, please just be careful to who you decide to handle your health. PLEASE GET A SECOND OPINION!"
"I had a very great experience at this Hospital. I was admitted there from 5/28/23 - 6/2/23 due to a abscess. The meals are awesome and taste great. They also have a pantry room full of snacks. The staff, nurses, and doctors are so nice, laid back and caring. They checked in on me on a regular basis and kept me informed on what was going on with my infection. The maintenance workers also do a great detailed job on keeping the place clean. They also accepted my accommodation for a recliner chair next to my bed in which I really enjoy sitting in during the day. They even wheeled me out into the lobby in my recliner chair, a accommodation that I wanted to complete for years which mentally made me feel so much better after having constant fantasies over it. I have autism and OCD. I highly recommend this hospital for others."
