"Year back it was such the perfect place with the best doctor but now I would never recommend it , the day they came under NYU everything is just messed up there. The staff knows nothing how to do what to do , even for a prescription request you have to call 10 times and may be then they'll send the req to pharmacy. They book the appointment and then always let you wait for approximately an hour before you are called, and if you get late for the appointment for 10 or 15 minutes they say you can't see the doctor today. The misplace the things you left for the doctor. I have to call each week for 2,3 times and still nothing is done. So sickkkkk of it. They just give you headaches now"
"This office has truly given me the worst experience I’ve ever had in healthcare. If I could have given ZERO stars it would have been more appropriate. I am employed by a hospital in the city and due to the distance to get in, I also have a physician outside of our network and closer to where I live. I am young and healthy and was without a primary care physician for years. During the Covid pandemic, I decided to seek out a PA I was seeing approximately 10 years prior. This woman was TRULY AMAZING. Thought outside of the box and made people feel comfortable in the room with her by sharing experiences from her own life. She took normal everyday complaints and on a hunch (and the help of some bloodwork), diagnosed me with a condition for high iron. I didn’t even realize there was an issue myself. I really can’t go on enough about this woman. Anyway, it turned out she was sharing her magical medical powers at this office in oak dale and of course I knew this would be my new PCP office. Since she was a PA I could not make my initial appointment with her, I had to see the doctor first and could have all of my follow up appointments with the PA. My first experience with the MD here should have been my clue to stay away. This doctor made very strange comments I didn’t feel comfortable hearing from a physician. I figured it was just a physical and to let it go. My next appointment was a telehealth call for a sinus infection and I just needed antibiotics. This brings me to my third and FINAL appointment. Prior to Covid, I had an IUD put in for a thoughtless form of birth control. This caused a (normal) loss in my period. Since I have high iron I rely on giving blood to keep the levels under control in my blood. With the Covid pandemic, I haven’t given blood in over a year. Shame on me. For a couple of weeks my hands have been going numb while I sleep, and it wakes me up and I have to do laps around the house to get the blood pumping and get my hands to come back to life. Well at work today was the first time I experienced this symptom during the day. It was persistent and uncomfortable. I did some research on iron poisoning and it said it causes a blue gray color of the skin. I look at my hands and they are blue gray!!! My boss and one of my coworkers were totally freaked out and confirmed my eyes were seeing it correctly. I call the doctor and with the panic in my voice they get me in today. I immediately go to the office and the doctor finally comes in the room, with a new PA. I explain what’s going on and request a blood test. They can’t get my iron levels today since they have to send the blood work out. I explain my other symptoms (joint pain and fatigue is usually associated with my high iron condition) and the doctor asks if I want some medication for the joint pain. She is trying to wrap this appointment up, without doing anything but blood work! I explained I wasn’t looking for a script, I needed an answer. My hands are TINGLING and BLUE! No ultrasound, no tests, nothing. She tells me she will call me on Monday (it’s Friday at noon now) but if I don’t get a call from her- to call the office myself. I have a known iron condition, and high iron levels KILLS people. So I am sitting around not knowing if I am getting enough blood flowing to my hands, or if my iron levels are too high, for several days waiting on bloodwork!? My PA has left the building (I told you she was bright!) The new PA was completely rude. The doctor didn’t help me at all. I will NEVER be going back to this office. Save yourself the frustration, this office is HORRIBLE. If I were hit by a car and dying on the highway and there was a choice of this place or a veterinarian office.. the vet it would be."
"Unorganized, unprofessional, NO communication - this staff is truly a mess. I called because I needed to get one singular form signed by my doctor. When I called to make an appointment, the receptionist told me I would need a full physical to have the form signed. NO problem - I made the appointment for my physical and when I got into the patient room - the nurse informed me that I DID NOT need a physical and the doctor should be able to sign the form right away. Doc came in wanted to do a Tetanus shot - THEN sign the form - OK. Then she came back in saying she’ll take some blood, get me the results and I can come back with the form for her to sign in about a week. She did not tell me to make a follow up - said that “someone will be in touch with me”. I was PERFECTLY fine with doing this, until over a week rolled by - NO call, NO text, NO email & I needed this form signed! I called and she said that I should have left the form with them last week when I was there, when I was SPECIFICALLY INSTRUCTED to wait until I was contacted so I can come in and discuss with DOC. I was furious so I went to the office in Oakdale. I explained my situation to the -not so caring- receptionist and she replied with “I don’t understand why you’re upset?” She went into my chart and told me that NO ONE WROTE DOWN ANY NOTES IN MY CHART WHEN I WAS THERE A WEEK AGO. HOW are you keeping track of patients and their illnesses if you aren’t writing them down? I felt VERY JERKED AROUND at this office. One person tells you one thing, another nurse tells you another. The doctor signed the form right there for me and apologized. I will be pulling all of my medical records from this office as soon as I find another reputable doc on the island."
"PA Jenn is an amazing provider and person. She has been my primary provider for years now and I could not of made it through some of the hardest times without her genuine care and compassion. She is personable and thorough, never making you feel unheard. I prefer seeing her over a doctor as she is a great role model for the PA profession. I recommend her to my family and friends! You’re the best Jenn!"
"I was in for a wellness visit in January 2020. Dr. Loqman ordered standard wellness visit lab work. It was sent to Quest but coded incorrectly and I was charged by Quest. I have been calling the Oakdale office for months to have them correct the code, resend it to Quest so Quest can resubmit it to my Insurance carrier. In June I hand delivered the Quest bill to the Oakdale office and was told they would take care of it. I spoke with Jackie last month and she promised someone would call me back. No one returned my calls. Now I have been sent to collections by Quest. I spoke with Rosa today and she gave me a phone number to call to complain. This is unacceptable! I did not have a problem with the doctor, but I will no longer let this office overcharge me and waste my time."
