He was among the first in the U.S. to perform MRI-guided prostate biopsies using the transperineal approach, a safer and more accurate method. Dr. Gorin actively shares his knowledge through invited talks and by training other urologists in these innovative techniques.

Dr. Gorin's dedication to advancing urology is evident in his prolific academic contributions, with over 300 peer-reviewed articles and numerous textbook chapters to his name. He currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of BJUI Compass and holds editorial roles in several prestigious journals.

A graduate of the University of Michigan and the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine, Dr. Gorin completed his training at the renowned James Buchanan Brady Urological Institute at Johns Hopkins University. His excellence has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Drs. Carl and Barbara Alving Endowed Award for Outstanding Biomedical Research.
