"Let me start by saying the staff was AMAZING, I used Dr. Atwa, he was incredibly helpful and understanding throughout the process. The entire staff was thorough in explaining what would happen next and what needed to be done. The star of the show is Toniann, what an incredible and helpful person she is. Toniann was always just a text away and really made sure I knew what needed to be done next. Even after surgery they were all right there for me and I feel incredibly safe in their care… I would highly recommend seeing them if your considering this route."

"Keep yourself alway from this office! If I had read any true review since the beginning of what I found there, I would never had gone there at first place. I went at this doctors office interested at weight loss medical management. They tried to drive me to a bariatric surgery what I thought would be very drastic and I’m so glad I trusted my gut. I asked for medical treatment instead and after that things went south. So many lies…lies. A bunch of lazy people that didn’t do their job and even a prescription never gets right. They said they had sent my prescription they didn’t. I was always catching every lie because I was following up with the pharmacy. Then they lied about the insurance pre approval but I called my insurance and linked them to the office…basically I had to do their job. Last they sent my prescription by fax and the pharmacy told that the weight loss medication for controlled substances was just accepted by electronic methods…what for me make sense in order of compliance and a method more updated for the time (and any office that constantly prescribes it should know). The office called me and want to sell me a weight loss group, mandatory, in order to send the prescription electronically as they should since the beginning. Shocked! Completely wrongfully ethical! Like: in order to a medical office do their job you need to pay extra because this weight loss group is payed apart, eventhough I already had the pre approval from the insurance and the faxed prescription from the pharmacy with the medication, so basically was changing just the method that prescription has been sent. Finally, they just sent my prescription electronically to the pharmacy because I had so much prove their mistakes and I was about to file a claim on the department of health for wrongness going on the patient treatment. Long story short: thank you God that it was just a medication. Guess if I had a bariatric surgery and I had to be on these people hands, they asking for extra money for any new breathing I would take? All this stress for 20 + days to file a prescription- UNBELIEVABLE! Today they called to ask for $500 in order to refil my prescription…I would never even think about getting back to that place (I’m going to NYU, a reputable office now). You can tell how wrong are their mindset on the relationship doctor-patient. Never again and I hope I can avoid other people to do my same mistake!"

"Dr. Atwa is the most responsible and most caring surgeon there is. I feel so lucky and blessed I found a doctor like him. Any questions/concerns I had, he answered them quickly and was/is very informative. He reassured me and made me feel comfortable from the second I met him to the second I had my surgery and of course I still feel the same! I never thought I would start walking and go home as fast as I did literally right after surgery. Of course he made sure I was healthy and ready to go! I haven’t reached for my inhaler in 3 weeks and for me that’s a huge improvement. I already lost 17 pounds in 3 weeks which is insane! I feel so happy, amazing and healthy. I guess in other words you can say I highly highly recommend him and the staff! Thank you so much Dr. Atwa for the care you gave me and continue to give me. As well as thank you to the staff and everyone who was apart in my journey and who continue to be apart of it because this journey is for the rest of my life!"
