"My husband was just at the VA for an emergency. Unfortunately. It's the weekend which means there's no staff on. My husband was freeze due to fever on and off he asked for a blanket and they don't have any. They NEVER have pillows now no blankets. That's absolutely insane.The 1st doc he had I called to get an update. I honestly had to question if I was actually speaking to a doctor he didn't know how to communicate to me what was going on. Thank God my hubby got a new doctor after shift change. But this place is just getting worse and worse with each passing day. My husband has alot of medical issues and they never get back to you and when they realized they made a huge mistake they send you a letter saying, " we have made several attempts but we're unable to reach you" I'm guessing this time will be they had the wrong#. It's sad really... it's so sad"
"The wait time is ridiculous. In a room of 6 patients you have to wait 4 hours for some simple anti biotics for an ear infection. If you have minor issues never come here. Your better off waiting the night and going to urgent care."

"The staff are very pleasant and helpful. I think the Northport VA is a gem. The medical equipment is up to date. My General Practitioner is very knowledgeable, competent and patient with me. The veterans are always helping each other. Wonderful atmosphere throughout the Northport VA."
