"First prenatal visit today, and I was so impressed with the experience! The front desk staff were kind and welcoming; they initially accommodated me by squeezing in an appointment for me given how far along I was. I was seen quickly without having to wait long. The nurses were helpful and personable. Most importantly, Dr. McKenna was knowledgeable, warm, professional and put me at ease from the get-go. He didn’t rush us through the appointment and was genuinely interested in getting to know me and my husband. He patiently answered all of our questions and calmed my fears. Very happy to have found this place!"

"I have waited months to write this review. Long story short, this is the best office and Dr. McKenna and his team are probably the best you will find in the field. After struggling to conceive for over a year with another Dr my mom suggested I see Dr. Mckenna. The second he walked in I was met with a warm, calm, knowledgeable doctor who took the time to listen to me and go over my history/tests. I have never once felt rushed or like a number with him. He takes a genuine interest and concern in his patients and loves to tell stories of his family and life outside the office and really make you feel comfortable with him. I was pregnant after a month of being here and him sending me for a procedure my last dr said I didn’t need. I had my daughter via scheduled c section performed by Dr.McKenna and as expected everything went amazingly. I wish he could’ve delivered my first baby too. He brings a calm, confident, humorous presence to the room. It was almost fun lol! You can tell how respected he is by his colleagues too. I can’t explain how amazing this entire office is right down to the office staff. The nurses are outstanding, Arleen and Carolyn were especially a pleasure to work with. The receptionists and other office staff are friendly, patient and easy to contact and work with. They and Dr McKenna were always willing to work with my non traditional work schedule and accommodate me as best they can. I can’t recommend Dr McKenna enough. This was an extremely smooth process right down to my c section recovery. You can’t compare the level of care you will receive here to any other practice. Thank you Dr. McKenna and all the staff in this office!!!"

"This office is actually now a chain of offices, you choose one doctor who you want to see but end up getting bumped around multiple times to who ever is available. I kept stressing I wanted to see a female doctor, but my wishes however many times expressed were ignored. Also, terrible communication, from lack of knowledge on the testing they did, to repeated calls and just having to take full days off because they couldn’t hold an appointment. Everything about this office has been a negative experience. Anytime I had spotting or issues and called, the I call staff was rude and stressed me out more, as a pregnant woman to have to deal with that…was beyond infuriating, male doctors talked down to me and no one gave me any answers. Misdiagnosed uti may have caused my miscarriage, but I’ll never get answers and I suggest you go somewhere else."

"Ny wife and i chose this location because we live near wading river, 1st visit was really nice, everything was going smooth, next few visits starting declining, dismissive staff, no communication, and then THE REASON FOR THIS REVIEW, we had a miscarriage 11 weeks in, the worst thing a person could go through, we were in constant communication with them, but they'd call us 4 times a day asking the same questions they just asked us an hour prior, then THIS HAPPENED, we go for the follow up ultrasound, the people up front did not communicate with the ultrasound tech (who was a sweetheart) we had a miscarriage. So she meets us all cheery (as she should be in normal circumstances) and asks us how we're doing, how's dad feeling, how is mom feeling, I knew right there she had no idea, so as she is about to start a procedure the way you would a pregnant woman, not a miscarriage ultrasound, I say to her you don't know do you.. she says no what? I say we had a miscarriage, her jaw drops, and she in apologizing repeatedly, so as were in our sad state, now I have to comfort her because I feel bad, not her fault, it WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF OUR LIVES besides the actual miscarriage, except for the ultrasound tech, everyone in that office should be fired immediately, maybe if the girls were paying attention to the charts, instead of eating takis and talking about their weekend plans this could have all been avoided.. it took me a month to muster the strength to write this, as I hate being negative but this needed to be done"
