Dr York Sing Chan, DO

"I was looking around the neighborhood for a new primary care because I had recently moved and switched to a new insurance. I chose another PCP but Dr.York's front desk sounded nice and caring that it made me switch to Dr.York. I am glad I did! He was very informative, really nice and dare I say, relatable. I felt like I was talking to a friend that has years and years of experience. He is a trustworthy doctor and not the ones that are out there just to get your insurance money. Also, the waiting was not long at all. I did book an early appt. so maybe that's why the wait wasn't bad. He does book quickly therefore, I would recommend to plan a week in advance."

"Doctor Chan is very nice, thorough with the exams and great bedside manner. I’ve been telling him to my friends whenever they ask if I know a good PCP. Always recommend Dr. Chan because experiences had been great. And he does care to ask how you’ve been doing or any concerns. He personally will respond back to emails after a discussion of a concern."

"I really appreciate Doc Chan, longer wait on schedule book these days, it’s normal as he is taking time to provide quality care. For emergency, you can wait for an hour or so, remember to arrive before 2pm:)"

"It’s impossible to book an appointment if you need to see the doctor sooner than next month. I was told to change my PCP to him before going to them and I did that but now there aren’t any appointments until next month, so basically I wasted my time to change it. I am also in search for a new PCP and I was referred here by a friend because they mentioned good things, unfortunately I won’t know now."

"Although Dr. Chan is an amazing caring doctor it is impossible to see him when you have an emergency or need medical advice. The secretary is extremely rude. As soon as you say you are sick she tells you there are no openings. Doesn’t ask your name or what is wrong. I called at 4 when they close at 5 and she said sorry we are closing soon and we have other patients to take care of. I am an immune compromised person and if I have an infection I need to be seen. But she wouldn’t know that because she doesn’t even ask who you are or know anything about you. When I worked for a doctor I knew all the patients and their needs. I am currently sitting in an urgent care because she refused to even listen to me. Perhaps it’s time for me to find a new PCP because in life we have emergencies and I need an office that cares about that. Very disappointed that I’ll have to change because he really is an excellent doctor."
