"I am glad that I came across this Physical Therapist, his knowledgeable assessment along with his friendly staff helped set me on a trajectory to regain my mobility, not only through the sessions but by continuing to do the recommended exercises. I was recovering from hip replacement surgery and needed to do physical therapy to regain strength in my legs not only from surgery but from not moving for 18 months prior to it as well – I was essentially immobile. I looked up PT in my area and came across Alexander physical therapy which was not far from my home and there were positive reviews. When I started going there I was walking without a cane but I was still weak. After about three sessions (which was about three weeks for me) along with doing the assigned exercises at home, I gained strength, and walking became much easier. Of course, along with that came the challenge of getting assigned more exercises with a greater degree of difficulty. Here is an example, at my first session laying on my back and lifting my right leg was nearly impossible – it felt like a baby elephant was sitting on my knee while a rhinoceros was resting on my hip. When it came time for the third session, as I said before, about three weeks later, and a fiercely powerful massage I received there, the rhino and elephant went to lunch and never came back – I was able to lift my leg five times with relative ease. Of course, now I can lift it higher and do more reps thanks to subsequent sessions and assigned in-home exercises."
