"I was referred to Brandon by the coaches at JDI Barbell in Harlem, after almost two years of lower back and shoulder pain from a combination of powerlifting and long hours of sitting at a desk. I was unable to sit comfortably for more than forty minutes and very few things provided relief, let alone squat or deadlift properly. I had tried several different training programs, personalized coaching, more "conventional" physical therapists, reducing training load/intensity, etc, in an attempt to improve the pain on my own with no improvement. I was close to giving up powerlifting entirely. After a very thorough initial mobility assessment, Brandon walked me through a custom powerlifting-focused program, designed to address weaknesses and muscle imbalances overlooked by my prior training. He went into detail about the purpose that each exercise served, making a point to highlight how it addresses a particular strength and mobility shortcoming and how things would improve as exercises were scaled up. He also provided a detailed program summary, complete with text cues and custom Youtube videos demonstrating each movement. He was also always available for questions and clarifications. After two weeks of working with Brandon, I was completely pain-free. We continued to work together for several months, incrementally scaling up the routine's intensity. All the while, Brandon explained the value behind each new movement, corrected my form, incorporated feedback and provided detailed programming guidelines. By the end of the program, I hit a new squat and bench PR with ease while remaining pain-free. I can't recommend Brandon highly enough to anyone experiencing sports-related injuries or pain; his professionalism, patience, attention to detail and enthusiasm are second to none. He is far and away the best physical therapist that I've had the pleasure to work with."
"I highly recommend this PT! I learned about Brandon through my gym after struggling to find a physical therapist that would see me without a referral and wasn't a lawsuit mill. I had a shoulder injury that was moderately painful and did not resolve no matter how many stretches, social media exercises, or massages I did. From the first session, I really appreciated Brandon's approach -- he works to alleviate pain, strengthen the injured area, and give you the tools to mitigate future issues. I think what makes him stand out is that he teaches you to not necessarily be afraid of pain or injury because the body is resilient. "I started working with Brandon from Form PTP close to three months ago, with a debilitating back injury that prevented me from doing any hinging patterns including back squats and deadlifts. This injury had nagged me in my training for close to 7 months at that point and completely sidelined me from training for close to 4 months, even affecting day to day motor patterns like walking and sitting. After months of altering my training, taking time off from the gym, and consulting multiple physical therapists, not only was I unsuccessful in rehabbing my injury, but my day-to-day symptoms got worse. "I've been working with Brandon for ~4 months now, right before I moved across the country. Word around the gym community was that he was "THE" guy, so I knew I wanted to work with him to help with my lingering right hip pain. I wanted to work with a PT who was also an active and dynamic athlete and could better relate to my concerns in a real and practical way, not just from an academic perspective. I've now had the opportunity to work with Brandon both in person and remote and he did a fantastic job quickly diagnosing the problem and coming up with an action plan that builds on itself from session to session. He takes into account my training schedule and time constraints to build something sustainable and flexible.
