Dr. Viviane B Ackad MD 337 Bloomfield Avenue, Newark, NJ 07107

"Seek professional medical attention elsewhere as Dr Ackad is anything but professional. She is disorganized, rude, opinionated, and unprofessional. Her office looks like it’s from the 1980’s and littered with paperwork everywhere. It is an absolute mess and HIPA violations with patients names left out (even just from the sign in sheet). Everything in her office is done by pen and paper. I ended up walking out on the appointment as she was rude and unhelpful. My experience is as follows: The doctor is both the receptionist and examiner. From the first introduction she told me that I need a NJ driver’s license as my CA license was not valid. I told her my CA License is a valid United States license and she continued to argue against that. Back in her examining room she has bags, purses, and scarves out and looks as if she is selling these items in the exam room. She asked me for height and weight without conducting anything. I told her what medications I needed to be refilled and she asked me what these were for (did not understand one of the medications I was taking). She asked me some medical background and I then asked if she could sign FMLA paperwork for my job. At this point she became increasingly opinionated and argued with me, invalidating my health and overall wellbeing. I informed her of the reasoning for needing this paperwork and declared that I have had this signed off in the past and she said, “by who? A physiatrist?” Completely judging my mental health. She refused to sign this paperwork as her opinion trumped medical necessity. She invalidated my health and said I shouldn’t have even been hired by my job in the first place and did not need days at home for my condition. I walked out of my appointment as I no longer wished to be belittled or argued with. Stay FAR away from this outdated office if you need what is best for your health. This “doctor” is the most unprofessional healthcare provider I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with."

"This Doctor is VERY RUDE. I came to her because of the reviews said she was a good caring doctors. Clearly that was NOT the case. So I went to the doctor right next door. And was THE BEST DECISION I MADE, Newark Medical Association. They have new staff that are very welcoming and caring. The Doctor made sure to answer all my questions and the place is very nice and clean."

"Dr. Ackad is a great doctor. She truly listens to her patients needs and concerns. True the location isn't the best, but one should never judge a book by it's cover! There are so many doctors that don't take the time to understand what's going on with their patients. I've been in doctors office's where you spend more time in the waiting room then you do with the doctor. Dr Ackad is not like that. She's old school. Her patients matter to her! I'd follow Dr Ackad were ever she would go!"

"Dr Ackad has been my doctor over 10 years. She's very good in her practice, she's very caring, takes time to explain to you about your health and answers questions. I'm glad to say she's my doctor."

"If I could I would give her office -10 stars. They don't answer the phone. I can't imagine how she even stays in business. If you want a doctor that cares about patients..... This is not the place for you."
