"I went to the ER and I was in very bad pain and I went to get a test done and my 14k chain got stolen and it's messed up not to have people take care of your belongs"
"Worst hospital ever. They don't care about their patients and I don't know why they haven't been sued yet. They violate ALL HIPA laws and they don't know what patient confidentiality is. They do their intake right in the waiting area where the entire room can hear you talk to the nurse. Bathrooms are disgusting. N they just put a bed in the hallway n told me to change into a gown n stay there half naked while people just walk by out in the open. When I denied their horrible treatment of changing into a gown in the hallway the nurse started being super rude. No privacy what so ever."
"The ER nurse Lisbbette , was very informative about my heathcarw needs . She showed empathy and concern regarding my medical issues."
"Horrible experience. I was there first time, doctor Michael Choi is an idiot, gave me wrong diagnosis and treatment. I asked to give me IV fluids that always helps me, but he refused, he said I don't need it . I had high blood pressure, stomach pain, nausea and very bad headache. He gave me Tylenol and blood pressure medicine and sent me home even more sick and told me to go to primery doctor. The emergency room was empty, no patients. The nurses are sitting and talking and laughing. I was surprised, now I know why, nobody goes there because it is very bad. Go to Hackensack or Paterson."
"6/29 about 9 pm. Was visiting a family member, his wife was left in the waiting room with no information on his condition. She asked the triage nurse/front desk staff several times to see him, and was brushed off saying his nurse would come get her when he could been seen. They were able to get her to sign registration and consent information in the waiting room, without even attempting to establish contact between the two first. When I arrived and inquired why she couldn’t be with her husband they promptly escorted her in. This was my first issue, perhaps an error in communication, maybe not. Forgivable nonetheless. Next as we are waiting for some diagnostic imaging to be completed while waiting in the general waiting room, a man is brought in to the waiting room by EMS, and the front desk staff shouts his name, date of birth and current condition back and forth several times for everyone to hear. This patient had a language barrier and they didn’t attempt to utilize an official translator, or provide him any privacy. He was parked in a wheelchair in the literal middle of the waiting room. Not even facing the staff. Incredibly inappropriate, and if I’m not mistaken a legal offense against the man’s private medical information. The most inexcusable part was them laughing at this patient when he answered a question incorrectly. My wife, who was with me at the time, spoke the same language as this patient, and after this episode with the front desk staff started telling her how embarrassing that entire encounter was, and that he wasn’t comfortable with the care at this facility. This is truly awful. I am disappointed at the lack of standard of care provided by this emergency department. Emergency care is something that we don’t get to choose, we go when we must and are usually having the worst day of our life. I feel bad for anyone who has been/will be treated this way when they go to St. Mary’s ER. I will be filing a formal complaint as well."
