She pursued her education in Biology, graduating Cum Laude from the University of Memphis, and earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada. Her extensive training includes serving as Family Medicine Chief Resident at Mountainside/UHMC Hospital and working as a Postdoctoral Associate in Vascular Surgery at Yale University School of Medicine.

Dr. Salerno’s medical journey led her to family medicine, where she found the opportunity to build long-term relationships with her patients. At her practice, she treats individuals of all ages, from newborns to the elderly, often caring for multiple generations within the same family. Her comprehensive approach ensures a holistic understanding of her patients' health, allowing her to make informed decisions and provide continuity of care through all stages of treatment, including hospital and rehabilitation transitions.

As an active member of the Women’s Health Committee at Vanguard, Dr. Salerno is committed to enhancing services for female patients, offering procedures such as IUD placements and expanding education on women’s health topics.
