"5 months pregnant with twins and elevated liver enzymes. Doctor suggested I stop my prenatals for one week and repeat the test. When it came time to repeat the test, I realized she had not ordered the correct test. I had to drive 30 minutes to her office to pick up the correct order. When my original results came back the doctor did not call to speak to me, she had the receptionist do it. The receptionist told me "everything was normal besides my liver and to see a gastroenterologist", this was not true, there were many abnormalities on my lab results, I still have not spoken to the doctor about it. This is my first pregnancy and these liver abnormalities are causing me stress and anxiety. I find it very inappropriate to have a receptionist speak to patients about complex test results. Overall, not impressed with the care I received."
