"The most frustrating, disappointing experience. It took 3+ weeks of back and forth trying to schedule an appointment even with a referral. It really is such a shame that Dr. Yashar’s secretaries and admins are so ineffective because I have heard such great things about her. I definitely do not recommend."
"I requested to see Dr. Yashar but she was away on vacation. As a result I saw the other doctor. I followed Dr. Mendolsons medical advice as she advised. I was dealing with blurred vision. In six months my vision has still not corrected. In addition to unsatisfactory results, the wait at the office is absolutely horrible. When I requested to see Dr. Yashar after she returned from vacation, she passed a message along that I should continue seeing the other doctor. I naturally had to call the office to obtain this message as they did not call me back. I work in the medical field. This office is simply unsatisfactory. Don’t waste your time. Simply put, go elsewhere."
"Gross incompetence and medical gaslighting by office staff After experiencing severe visual disturbances, ocular migraine with aura, and other neurological symptoms I reached out to several neuro-opthalmologists to try to get an emergency appointment. I was relieved when I found out I could get an appointment with Dr. Yashar the next day. Unfortunately, my symptoms became too severe and I had to take a trip to the emergency room. I came to the office in WoodCliff Lake for my appointment. The young woman at the front desk told me that my appointment was moved from Dr. Yashar to Dr. Alino. I asked if she was also a neuro-opthalmologist and she assured me she was. I get called into the exam room and was told that Dr. Alino is not a neuro-opthalmologist. I had just cancelled my appointment with Omni Eye Care, with a neuro-opthalmologist, that morning as I was heading out the door to this appointment. I was told that I did not ask for a neuro-opthalmologist. I assured her I did, as I had called only offices with neuro-opthalmology, had only searched neuro-opthalmologists with my insurance, and had just cancelled an appointment with another neuro-opthalmologist to come to this practice. Then she insisted that she was on the call, and that I did not. I asked the office manager if calls are recorded, conveniently they are not. This is medical gaslighting. Not only was I not seen by a provider after an emergency, I was treated like I did not know what I was talking about (I've been in healthcare for over 10 years). This was complete gross incompetence by medical staff. Dr. Yashar and Dr. Alino might be great providers, I would not know as I did not get to see them. But their office staff most definitely needs training. They have left a patient in an urgent position with no path of recourse. I will be contacting the Department of Health for the State of NJ."
"Bad billing practices. There's no option to pay securely online. When I sent a check, it went uncashed. Then, I called to pay and the staff took my AmEx number verbally. But they didn't run it. A year later, my credit was downgraded. The office told me to call the accountant. The accountant told me to call the office."
"Dr Alino seems like a nice doctor but she is overwhelmed and over booked. She ran from room to room tending to various patients. When she informed me I was ready to go in for eye surgery, I had to remind her that she had never put dialting drops in my eyes. Procedure took a long time, she kept blaming that my eye was dry as she stopped several times. I now suspect that the equipment was not the best as I have had the same procedure done elsewhere on my other eye and it took three minutes. Also, the office was supposed to remind me to come in for a check up after 4 months, but they never called. Thus I went elsewhere."
