Reviews of Bergen Medical Associates
"I give credit where due. The Montvale office is very efficient. Update....... I changed my rating. I actually only went to Montvale once, and continued my care in Paramus. Anyone who has to care for elderly parents will appreciate this. My Dad lives in GA. Depending on what's happening, I may have to spend weeks/months down there. (I work from home, making this possible). When it comes to my doctors/medications, it's not an issue. If it's time for refills, my doctors will typically send them to a pharmacy in GA. So....CVS alerted me that I needed to contact my doctor for a refill. I contacted Dr. Kaur's office and was advised that I needed to make an appointment. SURE. No problem. I set the appointment for when I was back in town. (In a few weeks or so). I kept calling the office for the refill. They kept saying they would call back. They never did. I actually ran out of medication. Now, I understand that I needed to be seen. My PCP also needed to see me. So, what did my PCP do? Gave me a 30 day supply (instead of 90) and told me I needed to come in b4 another would be given. That's fair. Shout out to Dr. Cheeti. So, yeah. I found a new endocrinologist bc this was way beyond the pale for me. My new doctor is great. Let me go leave her a review. Lol."
"I made an appt with Dr. Yee a month ago and have been looking forward to seeing her. Her staff in Montvale just called to cancel my appt today that was scheduled for tomorrow. I totally get emergencies happen but all the office staff was offering me was to wait another month to see her or any other endocrinologist in ANY Bergen Medical location not just Montvale. When I explained that I had been already waiting a month to see Dr. Yee and would prefer not to wait another whole month to see any doctor (not just her) all the staff (Christine) said was “oh ok”. I’m not too sure what she wants me to do with that kind of response. Just seems like poor customer service. I called again and spoke to someone else who said they’d give me a call back. Not too sure if they’ll do that though. It just left a bad taste in my mouth and sucks that I had been waiting a month to see her for her staff to not really care about a patient/my time."
"*Updated! I know longer see Dr Bhandari, as of my last encounter with him, I found him to be completely the opposite of when I first met him. I was still having issues with my stomach. Which I discussed with my well trusted and respected gynecologist. Who suggested I get a endoscopy. I went back to Dr Bhandari to discuss just that. He was rude, staring at his phone and computer the entire visit. No physical exam. Called me a "Dr Hopper" and insinuated I was an alcoholic and was only there for a prescription/pills. When I'm fact, I was only there for answers and following up on what my gyno suggested. Dr Bhandari then asked me, "what is it you need me to do that will prove to you nothing is wrong?" Answer, endoscopy. When I arrive for my endoscopy. I found Dr Bhandari, sitting on his phone not willing to even give me eye contact or say good morning before my procedure. The staff put me under, when I woke Dr Bhandari said he found "severe edema" in my belly, he took several examples to be tested for cancer. Then he left the building. His office called to tell me I'm cancer free. But still no answers to why, I have these issues. I'm assuming he feels it's due to "alcoholism" I only drink in the summer on hot days and occasions, which I expressed to him several times. "I'm not an alcoholic, nor do I take drugs" Apparently he's choosing to stick to his beliefs. Thankfully, I do have a well trusted super brilliant gynecologist that did diagnose me with IBS and helping me with my issues. I would not recommend Dr Bhandari for any kind of gastrial issues. I found him to be extremely rude, arrogant, judgmental with assumption and incompetent. Staff and office, very professional, courteous and clean. Waited for only 5 minutes to see Dr Bhandari. Who also was very professional, down to earth, warm, very informative and knowledgeable. Had a very pleasurable visit. Will definitely remain a patient and recommend."
"My husband called 3 days ago for an appointment with our PA who we have been seeing for years after not being able to make an appointment on mychart and they never called us back. We have called a few times also and all they say is they are a "calling center" and will send the message to the office! Sorry but this is unacceptable and we are very disappointed in the office!"
"The staff is not attentive and are very unfriendly. I entered in to get blood work and was on time to my appointment. I noticed everyone else went in to see the doctor before me but was not sure if it was a short staff issue. Finally, it is an hour and I asked if they had an update of when I was able to get me blood work done. She forgot to check me in for my appointment. Once I got in, I asked why it took an hour for my blood work, the nurse responded with “ I don’t know”. No one apologized!! PLEASE do yourself a favor and do not come to this office location. TERRIBLE service along with people who do not take responsibility for their actions."
