"I had a fractured spine and begged for help while at Nyack hospital and this person did nothing. He wouldn’t even give me Tylenol when I begged for it because i told him my pain was higher than a 7 out of 10 on the pain scale. He could have been replaced by a computer system. He didn’t act like a human. I don’t think this behavior is appropriate for any doctor let alone a pain management specialist. Pain management takes a lot of communication skills, empathy and understanding. Dr Neil patel has none of these traits. People respond differently to different things and their medical history should be taken into consideration. Care should be individualized and a doctor shouldn’t be charging $300 out of pocket to say “I wish i could help” repeatedly whilst not doing a single thing to help."

"I have never met a worse doctor in my 16 years of extreme chronic illness. He left my spinal fracture pain completely untreated. I left the hospital early because idve rather died than been under his “care”. Hes numb to his patients. People like him should not be in medicine. Someday he’ll be in need of help to and i wish him the absolute worst which with his disposition and god complex he will get. Hes a waste of air."

"The best pain Dr I have ever seen. I had surgery and his care was very good. His Telemed System is terrible. He calls when its the correct time, however getting that call can be a problem when no one calls you back to schedule that call. Very unprofesstional, left 3 messages 3 weeks in a row and Not One Call Back Had to go to his White Plains office to schedule a telmed just to get meds. so yes Great Doc, overworked front end."

"I was in terrible pain as a side effect to a Prolia shot. He validated my issue and warmly assured me that he will help me. True to his word he started me on some medication and scheduled me for injections. A few weeks later I feel significantly better; spoke to Dr Patel today feeling better. We are getting me off the medication and if my pain returns he said just call and we will make a plan. So wonderful because pain is terrible to deal with it. Thank you for the wonderful care."
