"Went there on a Sat night to get treated took the Dr 2 hrs before she ordered an XRay and was told also no one is available for an MRI so I have to call and schedule one. Called back today to ask if they can just order a prescription for the MRI because Thursday is a holiday and I have to get back to work they said No! Also on sat night the ER was not busy and I use to live in the city with trauma hospitals and it was way more efficient at getting ordered in. The nurses were great but I would say your better off at an urgent care."
"It feels a little strange to leave a Google review for an emergency department, but I wanted to express my gratitude to all the Phelps staffers after a recent late-night visit found my husband and I walking through their doors. They treated us with such kindness and care, making what was an overwhelming evening so much less scary. Every single person we encountered -- and I wish I'd gotten all the names -- was so friendly and helpful, including the security staffers. My husband's nurse, Jean, and Dr. Schwartz were particularly wonderful, with Jean even bringing me a sandwich at 4:00 A.M. because I hadn't eaten anything in so long. We'd gone to NWH earlier in the night and didn't see a single staffer for close to three hours before we simply left, but taking a chance on Phelps was the best decision in such a stressful moment. I'm so appreciative for their care!"
"Sitting in a room in ER and writing this right now. Brought my boyfriend into ER. We thought he might have had a mini stroke. Everyone we have had contact with since we got here has been veey kind and attentive. We were scared, and every staff including the doctors and nurses has been so gentle and caring."
"How is this ER still open? Worst experience ever. The rooms were dirty, the nurses were INCREDIBLY rude, and unsupportive of the fact I was in copious amounts of pain. The doctor diagnosed me and treated me for something that was very obviously incorrect. After being there for 7 hours with absolutely 0 help from nurses; they decided to discharge me. I asked the nurse what I should do about the pain as they’ve given me nothing and no information what could help me. He said you’re done here, I can’t help if you’re still hurting. I’m not sure if this is the treatment for everyone but still never in my life have I had such rude nurses who blatantly don’t care about their job. All this for a 14k medical bill"
"Doctors- some are top, some are not. My GI Dr is the best! That is why I am here. Can’t recommend him enough. Dr. Fields is thourough, kind and accessable. He creates a plan of action and makes sure you understand and agree. Nurses- some are super heroes, others human and just hanging in there. Overworked, too many patients per nurse. Support staff 1/2 cheerful 1/2 gloomy The facility- DIRTY. And everything you touch or walk on is sticky -ew. I do not often post reviews because I am mostly happy with things. I unfortunately have a lot of experience with hospitals and have never encountered filthy hospital before. b Wow, this place grossed me out. Cleanliness should be a #1 priority for a hospital Photos below show dirty areas not cleaned up for DAYS. The “solarium” was never cleaned the whole time of my long stay (am on day 4). and was 1/2 used for storage space. Room was dirty"
