Reviews
"I was a patient of Dr. Hyatt in 2018. Physically, I was a wreck; I was extremely fatigued, mentally hazy, I had unexplained weight gain, hairs growing in places hair never grew before, horrible acne, I was depressed, my joints ached. I explained all these things to her and her diagnosis was that I needed to lose weight. I explained my diet and I admit that she gave me several good pointers there. I explained my exercise routine and that I often would feel faint or extremely sleepy while working out. Dr. Gayon told me I needed to workout more. I had a few follow up appointments but eventually decided to go elsewhere because I did not feel better despite dieting and working out harder. If fact, there were a few occasions where I literally passed out during exercise. I felt like a failure and I just kept gaining weight, which made me more depressed. A few months later, I found another doctor and was diagnosed with PCOS. I was referred to an endocrinologist who ran additional test and told me something else was wrong but she wasn't sure what it was. Well, it's 2024 and I was diagnosed with autoimmune thyroiditis last year. My current endocrinologist believes I likely had this disease for years based on my previous blood work and an account of my symptoms that I kept records of over the years. It's been a rough road for me mentally and physically. I'm not cured but I am receiving help. My weight is down about 35 lbs. It's not been easy simply due to my metabolism and my body actively working against me. I often think if Dr. Gayon had taken my seriously years ago if I would have been saved years of hardship and mental anguish."
