"The Most Racist and Biased place! Don't go here if you're a colored person! You don't get treated same as white people do! We rented 2 fishing boats from them for a Full day fishing, but the two boats we received seemed to be in the poorest shape out of the ones they had available. We had only been in the water for maybe an hour and ONE of the boats was not turning on back. After about 10 minutes of priming and pulling the engine, the boat finally turned on and we headed towards the deeper water. Once we were even further out from the shore than before, we turned the engines off and set the anchors again. After like an hour, we tried turning the engines on again to move. Once again, the same boat would not turn on. All four passengers on that boat attempted to get it to work but after 30 minutes of trying, it just FAILED to turn on and the wind was only getting stronger and that boat started drifting. At a point, the boat was almost 10 feet from the shore and only getting closer. My father then jumped out of our boat as we were watching our family in the other boat struggle, and he swam to them to help them out. The wind and water were so rough that waves were slamming against the boat and most of our belongings on that dysfunctional boat were lost to the ocean. While all this was happening, I was trying to call the rental store staff for help but the connection was very poor. Finally I was able to get in contact with them and as soon as I mentioned that one of the boats was close to the beach, the man on the phone became very aggressive, began using foul language, and barked at us to stay right there and not move and hung up. We had no idea what we were waiting for… were they sending someone to help? Twenty minutes later, we see a larger boat approaching us. They went to the beached boat and started yelling at my family who were stranded on the beach in soaking wet clothes in the cold weather. The man directed them to walk down the beach towards the docks which was about 3 miles from there. So they began walking with all their gear and rods and coolers on a very rough beach. Those two men then headed towards our boat, while towing the dysfunctional boat and yelled at us “Head to the docks NOW! You are all done for the day” with no further explanation. Yelling and screaming at us like we were some piece of garbage! No respect at all even for the women! Though our boat was working fine. We got to the docks and were concerned about the rest of our party who were still walking on the beach towards the docks. We then saw the two men drop off the damaged boat and head back out. At this time we went to go speak with them. We approached them to explain what happened and they started accusing us of beaching the boat and said that we will have to pay them for the damages. We were very upset and my mother asked how they could possibly accuse us of this. In response, one man approached my mother aggressively and proceeded to swear and throw threats if we did not ‘back off’. This is when I called the police because things had escalated and we were afraid. We tried to reason with them and tell them that their faulty boat combined with the poor weather is why all this happened. No one was listening to us. The police arrived, we told them what happened, mentioned that instead of being reimbursed for paying for a full day while not getting even a half days' worth of time on the water, the staff accused us and said we will have to pay for damages. On top of this, the staff made us return both boats, became extremely aggressive with us, left our family on the beach to walk and lug their equipment as ‘punishment’ when they could have easily picked them up from the beach, and threatened us physically. We felt hatred towards us and felt extremely discriminated against by this business and its people."
