Reviews
"Sheila is a horror. Impossible and rude. She thinks who the hell she is,. She’s a shop keeper with a bad attitude."
"BEWARE !! I Had a horrible experience with this store. The woman who runs it is unstable, rude and just plain difficult to work with. I consigned something with her and she was so unprofessional. I Never received promised paperwork, she never attempted to sell my items, she didn't respond to my phone calls and emails for over two months and then she called and demanded that I remove my item within 48 hours. I would not suggest any one go there, it was such a bad experience, I don't know how they stay in business. I would not even give them one star, but you have to put at least one to get your review in."
"Wonderful experiences with this local Southampton business and owners, Sheila and Bill! Discovered a delightful Milo Baughman chair that had seen better days, and worked with Sheila and her upholsterer to transform it into something spectacular. They even personally delivered it to my living room. Highly recommend!"
"This company was amazing! I recently purchased a couple of items from them because they were highly referred by friends of ours and our experience was as wonderful as theirs. The showroom was impeccable and so beautifully arranged. You can tell they only purchase quality items and they are displayed in such a manner. The vintage pieces are truly vintage so if this is the style you are looking for this is the place to go.I met the owners and they were so professional and accommodating. They offered to hold the items in a safe place for a short period and then have them delivered for a small fee. The delivery went so smoothly, they went above and beyond and made sure we were totally happy with the placement before they left. I would definitely purchase from them again! Thank you so much #stellarunion"
"I've never had a more disgusting or shameful experience with a business. I won a piece at auction from this company where I was the sole bidder on the item, and it went for 2/3 of the estimated value. I called to arrange pickup and received lots of nasty attitude because I didn't want to pay $150 for delivery and told them I would pickup instead. I was told I "would have to spend just as much to pickup so I might as well just pay them the $150." When I arrived at the shop to get the item, I checked it out and the cabinets I bought were missing their shelves. This was NOT disclosed or even hinted at in the item description when bidding. The conversation went like this: Me: "The item description doesn't mention missing shelves" Sheila: "How much did you pay for this?" Me: "How is that relevant?" Sheila: "You paid $150 for this cabinet and you're going to complain about missing shelves??? [Sneer, tsk, eye roll, huff and puff]. Wow... You are really just a..." Me: "Yes?" Sheila: " Oh, nothing." Me: "How does what I paid for it have anything to do with your obligation when you originally posted the description?" Sheila: "You're a piece of work." Needless to say, this went on. Obviously, the rules are to describe your auction items with any known necessary disclosures. A cabinet missing shelves would be a perfect example. The deep scratches and marks on the cabinets should also be disclosed, but may not always qualify as egregious. When I asked why they hadn't disclosed any of this, the response was: "You only paid $150 for this cabinet, and you already paid for it. Either take it or get out." Needless to say, this experience is fully documented if you'd like proof. Take your business elsewhere."
