"I would say this is a confusing location and building. The people are friendly, especially for elected officials dealing with the public. I went there simply to renew my dog's license. Therefore, this review will focus on the facility/building and location. First, let me assume that it is some kind of historic building and that is why the facilities are the way they are. Parking is confusing. They have carved out parking from the neighboring gas stations lot. There may be more parking behind the building, but I cannot speak to that, other than it is not the easiest to find or navigate to. On the side of the building (in the gas station lot), there is no handicap parking. I must assume it is behind the building. The front entrance is NOT handicap accessible, especially for mobility impaired individuals. The stairs leading to the front entrance are also kind of steep, even for able bodied people. Again, I have to assume the handicap entrance is behind the building because I can't imagine a public facility would exclude them entering the building. Unfortunately, I can't speak to any part of that entrance, as I have never used it (or even seen it). I also just assume there is some kind of elevator in the building because it is not all one level. Different aspects of the local government are on different floors. Also, once inside, it is kind of cramped. I cannot imagine maneuvering a wheelchair in there. My suggestion, if you are mobility impaired or elderly, leave yourself PLENTY of time to find parking and navigate the interior. I can only imagine that they are compliant with the necessary accessibility laws, but if they can ever relocate to an easier location and building, they should do it!"
