Reviews of The UPS Store
"If your notary comes at 2 pm, don’t offer appointments for notorization at 1 pm."
"Andrew is the best. He works efficiently while maintaining a very calm manner. Always greets me with a smile and wishes that I have a good day. I know there are boxes throughout , but really ,this is a shipping location not a florist Keep up the excellent work that you do. You are the only person that can multi-task the way that you do."
"I had to make a return and this was the nearest location and it was my first time there. As a full-time UPS employee of 15 years, I was surprised and disappointed in the condition of this store. There was a line which was almost as slow as the post office. For whatever reason, there were packages all over the place, in piles, in stacks, lined up, you name it. It looked like chaos. When do they ever pick up this work, I wondered. There were a few old posters on the walls some of which seemed ripped or falling down. It appears that they don’t have the time or manpower to take care of the operation, or they just don’t care. One of the problems is that the store is tiny and they probably receive more volume than they can handle and they have no where to store it until the pickup driver arrives. Maybe they should schedule more pickups - I don’t know. But other UPS stores I have been to are at least clean and there aren’t stacks of clutter (customers packages) that you have to meander through while waiting in line. To those responsible: take a deep breath, peak season is way over, assess your situation, prioritize what needs to get done and take the first step towards your future accomplishment. Your customers will eventually thank you."
"Update 2: After emailing, again, the UPS corporate office demanding that they intervene, the UPS store sent me the 100$ that they were awarded from Corporate UPS. I figured that was the best it would get. 1500$ horse, 500+ shipping, and I get 100$. However, several weeks later, I got an unsolicited call from the UPS store saying that their store insurance will cover the cost of the shipment, but will not cover the cost of the horse. So, they did end up sending me a check for 500+. That was the most they could do, and I actually appreciated that they didn't continue to ghost me. So, here are my lessons learned: When shipping something, especially when someone is shipping something valuable on your behalf (i.e., you are not there): 1. LIst yourself as the shipper, even if you are also the receiver. Do not list the UPS store. It makes filing a claim very difficult 2. ENSURE that you have insured the package for the value. This may sound obvious, but it is less obvious when this transaction is done for/paid for over the phone and even though you told them it was worth 1500$....don't assume they actually insured it for that much. check your receipt. 3. Get corporate involved the minute the franchise does not follow through, and continue to communicate, document, photograph. Update 1: Still nothing from the UPS store. They are withholding the 100$ that UPS sent to them on my behalf. They claim they are waiting for their in-house claim process to resolve my dispute. They do not answer their phone, and when their mailbox is not full and I leave a message, they do not return my call. I am in the process of trying to get a claim filed with this store. I will upgrade my status if the customer service/communication improves. Short story: 1500$ antique carousel horse packed and shipped by this UPS store. Arrived with the feet of the horse OUTSIDE of the box, one completely broken off. Inappropriate packaging, to say the least. When I am able to get in touch with the store, they are very friendly, but it does start to feel like I am being ignored. The UPS corporate office has sent my claim check to this store. They have had it for at least 2 weeks and have not sent it to me. They are also sending in a claim to their own insurance company to pay the balance of the damaged one-of-a-kind horse. So far, no resolution on that. If my claim actually is paid out, I will update this review. As for now....I am concerned. They hardly ever answer the phone, and never return a voice mail. Update: I was just contacted by the store. They have the first claim check and are waiting for their personal insurance claim to go through, which will hopefully cover the remaining balance. My fingers are crossed. I am very happy they reached out to me. I will bump stars from 1 to 2. If communication continues to improve I will adjust accordingly."
"I waited in line for 30 minutes and had a small Amazon return. It was a leather wallet. I was next in line when the employee working behind the counter announced they are no longer accepting Amazon returns for the day. I found this disrespectful of my time as I should have been notified before waiting in line and they should have allowed anyone currently in line to finish their returns. The store was a complete mess. Packages thrown all over the place. Very unorganized. This is worst UPS store I have ever seen and the employees are not respectful."
