Our office is proud to offer the convenience of credit card payments for County taxes, though a service fee does apply. Additionally, E-Checks are accepted with a nominal access fee depending on the transaction amount.

For pet owners, we act as the issuing agent for dog licenses, required for all dogs aged four months and older. We also assist with genealogy requests, which can be sent via fax or mail, and we strive to respond as promptly as our schedule allows.

Residents with mobility impairments can apply for a handicap parking permit at our office, provided they are New York State residents and have the necessary documentation from their doctor. Please remember to bring your identification when applying.

Couples wishing to marry can apply for a marriage license at our office. Both parties must be present with the required documentation, and the license fee is $40. Marriage records are available for those who obtained their license here, and certified copies can be requested in person or by mail.

We also provide certified copies of birth and death certificates for events occurring in Colden. Requests can be made in person or by mail, with a fee of $10 per certificate. Proper identification and documentation are required.

Our office offers notary services free of charge, as well as hunting and fishing licenses. First-time hunters will need to provide proof of completed courses.

Passport applications are processed during regular business hours. Applicants must bring the necessary documentation and photos, and expedited services are available for an additional fee. All applications must be signed in the presence of a passport agent.

For voter registration, new residents or those who have moved within Colden must re-register at the Town Hall.
