"The aides sit on their butts and lie about doing what is on clients care plan and then the clients get in trouble with the nurses if they try to get better aides. Seems the nurses take the aides side and no one is looking out for the clients. The nurses bully the clients in remaining silent and putting up with horrible care. They tell the clients they will be put in a nursing home if they don't just learn to accept the aides lack of integrity and seems to have of ethics when it comes to the aides jobs. I have been on the phone with my sister and have heard her aides tell her different stories and lie to her. I have also heard one explain how they have to check what that they do what is on the care plan before logging out. However, another one said, she did not know what was on the care plan when she did not want to do a task. So she just lied and checked she did it even when she didn't do it. The nurse tells the client that she needs to tell the aides what to do but then the aides tell my sister, I don't have do what is not on the care plan or just tells her she will do it and leaves for the day without doing it. When my sister learned how to get better aides and tries this she is scolded by the nurse as if she is a child. Is this how our loved ones are to be treated????? Is this how our tax dollars is being spent to treat our disabled and elderly????"
"Worked here for 5 years, it started off amazing. Great culture, staff, flexibility even pay seemed worth the workload. Then it became a culture of nepotism, lack of accountability, no work life balance, no transperancy, from managment, no communication as a team, clients going underserved in many cases, aides getting the short end of the stick (knowingly), concerns were never addressed by direct managment, did I say nepotism? Between receiving verbal abuse from staff, getting barely the living wage rate increase annually but watching supervisors get big bonuses, it was clear after year 3 I'd be stuck. Creating an exit plan was necessary, most people are and if they just took the experience of the team more seriously and how that truly effected morale and performance they'd have a healthier team. The lack of diversity in office staff is also concerning, in 2022 your office staff should not consist of less than 30% minority but field staff make up over 75%.. that's concerning. It's also concerning when initiatives for support for George Floyd go un fulfilled, it just proves to be disingenuous and for lack of better terms a PR stunt.. Working here taught me one thing though, that I deserve better. There are teams that care about the betterment of the team, listen to you, care about what you have to say and take your concerns seriously. When you state your team needs more structure and compensation.. you won't be given blue jay tickets as a hush moment. You'll be heard and a collaboration between team and managment will begin. Im not telling anybody not to work there, go for it.. its a job, but consider your next 5 years and what you want out of it professionally before you do."
"My experience as an employee, and a almost rehired on employee. I guess the best thing to say is ,this is a very needy field. I'm grateful to have the opportunity to do what I do best. And that is help ones in need. Taking time for others is a high demand in this field. it takes alot of time and patience to be able to work this field. It's not like someone in the hospital. They get the care , get better and go home.Then most likely never see them again. This is daily care, daily help, daily activities to help them be able to live at home. Family is suppose to help Venture Forthe with these needs also. See I've experienced family members not applying there end of help. It's not a day care of every day. The company can not be responsible for the irresponsible people that our country has. It takes a very genuine person to be able to handle this career. You either have it or you dont. So all they can do is go with what applies. I know criminals have turned there life around so everyone deserves chances. As in scheduling and office workers. If any of you only knew the amount of clients and families they have to fill needs for. No job no human being is perfect. Trying is half the battle in life in general. At least I can say they try. They may not make it at the end of the day of satisfaction to everyone but every minute they have they do there best. See all of you that have complained on here , it's your own personal unsatisfied ways that reflects a bad review. Place yourself in VF shoes and let me hear what you have to say then .... YOU WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO HANDLE THAT OVER LOAD OBVIOUSLY. So on that note VF I'm very grateful to come aboard again. To be able to help you fulfill the needs we need to ;) for the ones in need. "Let me start off by saying I loved the company at first as it has a lot of flexibility between hours. That was THE ONLY good thing about working here. There are cracks in the company that are turning into sink holes. The scheduling department DOES NOT CARE if you get stuck there for 24+ hours. They do not notify eachother of any changes. They say they have “emergency nurses” just in case someone is left at a shift for more than 16 hours BUT THEN THEY TELL US THEY CANT FIND ANY NURSES AND HAVE YOU STAY AT THE SHIFT TILL THEY CAN FIND ANOTHER PCA. This company is a joke. I had at least three pay stubs be completely off on about $100-$200 due to payroll forgetting to add in our increased pay we make for emergency shifts no one else can get to. This happens to a number of Other PCAs often. THIS COMPANY IS IN TURMOIL. There is absolutely no communication flow between the departments which leads to a lot of problems. A number of PCAs have got stuck at clients for 24 hours. if it was me getting stuck at a 24 hour they would be taken to court and hear from the department of labor with a big fat fine. DONT APPLY"
"Venture Forthe is a company managed by pathological liars whose concept of integrity is how well they can lie their way out of a jam and avoid punishment. Their #1 goal is to make money, caring less that it's at the expense of their employees and clients, and without worrying about pesky things like labor laws. I used to think the Schedulers were on edge for no reason, then I found out how hard their job is, then I found out they're paid 10-15,000/year LESS than Service Coordinators, even though Scheduling is a much harder and more demanding job. The types of aides they send to care for their ailing, elderly clients can be best described as poorly educated. A number of them are known criminals. Plus, the service is poor on a number of levels. I couldn't imagine subjecting my elderly loved ones to that. Management knows but doesn't seem to care, so that tells you just what kind of people they are. The sad part is that the Government sits idly by, allowing them to continue on business as usual without repercussion. Perhaps the owners don't know what's really going on. Or maybe they do know and they're okay with it. If you're looking for a job, think twice before coming here, and if you do come make sure it's a short term plan while looking for a better job. If you're thinking of having one of your family members put into the care of this company, then you need to re-evaluate just how much you actually love that family member. If you send them here, I doubt you love them very much. Bottom line: Venture Forthe has a bad reputation for a reason. It didn't happen overnight and it didn't get that way by treating its employees and clients honestly and with respect an fairness. It got there after many years of public irresponsibility and inhumane treatment of its employees and clients."
