"I have been entrusting my pain management with Tim since Dec 2020. He takes the time to listen, he understands where I am coming from as far as my concerns. We talk about different treatment plans, we discuss the benefits and the reasoning behind sometimes why he says No. He makes myself feel like I am the most important patient he has, but knowing he has numerous more. "Lourdes orthopedics referred me to the pain management clinic due to leg pain. On 9/1, I was seen by Tim Leonard. After waiting 38 minutes past my appt. time, I was brought to the exam room. I could hear staff on the phone saying patient's names, dates of birth and orders. Tim promptly entered the room but no hand hygiene was performed. As he asked me questions, I came to the realization I would not be getting an injection at that appt. like I had been told by orthopedics. I began to feel hopeless and started to cry due to my frustration with my constant leg pain. Tim laughed and said they "don’t do injections here". If I didn't know myself as well as I do, I would've felt foolish. I asked Tim if I could get the earliest appt. possible with Dr. Sighn for another consult apparently required to be considered for an injection. Tim projected his voice across the office saying my name, who I wanted to see and to get me the earliest appointment. He and the person "scheduling" the appt., shared a laugh when Tim told her that I thought I would be getting the injections there that day. Tim informed me I had an appt. with Dr. Sighn on 9/8/22 at 12:30. They wrote it down for me as well. Tim did prescribe me gabapentin 300mg but was vague about the frequency. I did schedule an appt. with him a month later as a follow up to starting a new medication in hopes this experience was a fluke. I did write a review voicing my concerns but never heard back. I left work to come to the scheduled appt. on 9/8. When I arrived, I was informed the appt. was never scheduled. Despite showing the staff the appt. reminder, I was still told I did not have an appt. I was told the doctor was coming at 1:00pm and could "wait" even though I was told the doctor was "double booked". Considering I work full time, I had to decline the offer to wait. I informed the staff I would not be returning to that clinic. I have never experienced such terrible service in my life. The lack of compassion, communication and ability to adhere to the core principles of infection control leaves me speechless. Instead of guiding and assisting me with the appropriate plan of care with the goal of relieving my leg pain in order to perform daily tasks (such as play with my child), I left the office with a high dose of a potentially addictive medication that I will not take. So, I will continue on my journey after wasted time, money and effort. Lourdes Pain Management on the southside of Binghamton should feel ashamed and embarrassed. Note that if rating this NP and clinic 0 stars were an option, that is the rate I would give."
