"We had a lovely time at Soaky Mountain water park in Sevierville, Tennessee with our family. They were amazingly big rides for adults and a big variety of water rides for toddlers and young kids. There are lots of places to sit around under the shade with umbrellas. A lot of good places to eat and nice clean toilets."
"Wish I had known about this place sooner! Awesome place that sits back off the main strip. We rented a cabana for the day and our server was very alert and accommodating! The not so lazy river was a blast!"
"So I’ll start with I’ve been to a bunch of water parks from small town ones to the best theme parks. This is why I feel like I can honestly only give this one 3 stars. Pros- Clean, immaculate park, misters for many areas of the concrete paths. Decent slides, none that made me get off and say that was amazing! But they are water rides and pretty standard. Kids area is really nice and a lot of fun. Wave pool is nice and the big wave hours are fun. Unfortunately it was so packed that they had to keep stopping it due to kids that would try to hold on to the walls because they would go farther out than they should. Cons- We knew there was a weight limit on rides and I have a 6’6” solid football player looking son. So we knew he couldn’t ride a lot of the 250 lb rides. We checked the website before we left. Found a few rides that said no weight restrictions so we agreed to go and pay the $50+ tickets and the $20 parking. But when we got there all of these rides had restrictions on their weight. So we were really mad about that. It’s a simple step to not ruin someone’s day. Then the scales are never the same when you get on them. Yes, you and your party must weight before getting on any of the slides. This does make the ride lines go slow. Park is laid out oddly and doesn’t flow well. So expect to walk. Then the walk to and from the gate is LONG and snakes back and forth without shade. They could really use a stained path on one side to allow faster entry and exit for those that are fine walking up hills. I really wanted to love the lazy river as we rode on an amazing one in Galveston that had the waves that my kids still talk about. This one has a wave every few minutes but it’s every weak. Many times you get stuck and the everyone stops moving. I’m sure it’s due to the amount of people in there. But it was less than relaxing or thrilling. Tips- If you go, make sure your party know all rides have weight/size limits besides the lazy ricer and wave pool. Buy parking pass online before to save some money Buy tickets through a 2nd vendor like Sam’s club. Or stay at the lodge next door during their free pass days. Some chalet companies also offer 1 free ticket a day. 1 outside water bottle that’s sealed per person. Or a refillable water bottle that’s empty. Food is theme park prices, No outside food. But you can leave and come back. Alcoholic drinks - $10.99 mixed drink (they are very weak, but it’s a family park. Not a place to try to catch a buzz). Beers are $9ish each So will we go back? I hate to say it but no. There’s other parks in the area and around the country that are better for your money. We spent over $300 for tickets and parking alone for a family of 5. I just can’t justify it. Especially since we thought our son could ride and then get inside to find out otherwise."
"Oh my goodness what a blast! Definitely will be back!! The drinks at the bar were a little pricey but not going to complain. The lines weren’t too bad but we went on a Thursday. I would recommend buying the tickets online. You save money that way especially on parking. Eggshell cabana saved our life when we needed to sit in the shade and take a break. You also get a waitress and food service! So much fun!!"
"This was a beautiful water park. However there are Cons. To be clear we got the Buy one day get the next day free. On day one it was amazing. All rides were open. No closures or delays. On day two we experienced closures to popular rides and long extended delays for maintenance on rides. They told us 15-20 minutes like 5-6 different times. As you know they don’t allow food or beverages. You can bring a sealed water bottle and then an empty refillable water bottle. When we entered around 10:15 the cold water was completely empty. As if it was never refilled. Around 10:45 we had to exit the lazy river for rest and inspections. They had to check chlorine levels. My main issue was trying to understand why they had to perform the task when they were open. I would think you would test before guess are around to prevent us from having delays. Day one was a cooler day. Day two felt much hotter reaching 80 degrees by 11:00am. Much different that the low 70s on day one. The rapid waves river had restrictions on day two with the river having 2 hour periods of no waves. We didn’t buy much food based off the wait and prices. The gift shop size selections was weird only offering very few size options. Day 2 was disappointing. Lastly. Being from Philly, Philly up is not an authentic Cheesestake spot. They aren’t even from Philly."
