Reviews
"This memorial should have the names of Love Canal residents who suffered from this horrible, avoidable tragedy. Instead, it is a mere rundown of the politicians who did what when. In the sense that it completely ignores the actual humans whose lives were affected by others’ greed and indifference, it is ironically the perfect memorial for Love Canal but not necessarily with visiting."
"Hidden between two trees in front of a baseball field. Not even worth maintaining."
"This place is more of a curiosity visit... Lotta history here.. Abandoned area where people once lived on top of toxic waste... Interesting to see people living in perimeter properties that should also be torn down. As well as a home for senior citizens... No way I would send my grandma that close..."
"This simple granite marker signifies the location of one of the worst cases of toxic waste mismanagement in 100 years. The sealed canal 60 feet away still contains 21,000 tons of carcinogenic toxic waste placed there from 1942 - 1955."
