"Great place for your landscaping needs , friendly service and the delivery service is top notch."
"On June 15, one of the items purchased was a hanging basket (million bells) $24.99. Within a week, the leaves started turning brown even though I had properly cared for it including during the hot sun. By July 6, the plant looked hopeless so I called Northridge and spoke with manager, Shawn. He advised that I bring the plant in for diagnosis and if warranted, would allow me half off another plant, $10 since they've been reduced to $20. I explained to Shawn that for the past 50 years or so, I've had hanging baskets and never experienced this issue of leaves turning brown so early in season. I advised him that my husband is 82, me 73 and since we've already spent over $100 on June 15, we are unable to spend additional money either on a plant or gas to drive there for that matter...After our dialogue, Shawn finally agreed to replace the hanging basket with another one more suitable. He told me to ask for Jen upon arrival and she would accommodate me. On Monday, July 8, my husband and I went to Northridge, met with Jen. She looked at the plant and said because I didn't water enough, she can only allow $10 off another basket. First, I told her that this plant was watered properly and never dried out. Additionally, I told her I spoke with Shawn and he agreed to replace the basket with another at no charge. Jen went on to say that Shawn left it up to her to decide what compensation to allow. Since, I knew what Shawn told me, I asked her to call Shawn. She said he's on vacation. My husband and I would never have driven to Northridge for $10 off another basket since now it would cost me $35 for a basket ($25 originally paid plus $10). Jen said it's $35 for 2 baskets, but I had no intention of keeping the 1st one. I walked away with my half dead basket frustrated and questioned why would Shawn tell me the replacement would be no charge and then tell Jen to decide? It's pretty sad that Jen representing Northridge, a company that has a great reputation would be so concerned about gaining $10 even though I told her Shawn agreed no charge. I wasted my time, my gas and had an unpleasant experience. I've patronized Northridge for many years. Unfortunately, our relationship with Northridge is finished."
"Hidden gem here. Staff was fantastic. So much variety and options were endless. Associate helped me pick out this perfect tree. Thank you to your amazing staff!"
"I am still waiting for a callback to plant a Rose of Sharon that I went down in person to choose. That was two years ago. The person who I met that day to schedule work did not return numerous emails, voice mails and calls. After repeatedly calling his extension, I finally caught him at his desk. He told me they were too busy. I asked him to keep me in mind for an opening anyway since this is a place my family and I have gone to for years with no previous complaints. I don’t understand the problem in scheduling this small job. Maybe too small a job? Perhaps the fact they are a large, established business for years allows them the luxury to not care about the occasional unhappy customer. In response to NR: Per our phone conversation today, I clarified that my email message actually was: “It’s too cold now (for planting a flowering shrub). Never mind.” I was not told at that time it would still be fine to plant with cold weather coming as you said today. I was told via email: “Sounds good. Whatever you’d like.”"
"I must have called 20 plus nurseries in the area and out of state looking for yellow hyacinth plants, and they were the only place that had any!! I am so grateful for the 20 I bought, wish I had gotten them all for next year, will look out and see them all around my home and said to be most fragrant!!"
