"How grateful must we all be to the Grand Island Fire Department, considering that, despite our island's small size and sleepy nature, there seems to be--judging by the sound of sirens and loud emergency vehicle horns, at any rate--an endless succession of blazes raging, all day, every day, and into the wee hours of the morning. It's amazing this island hasn't by now been reduced to one big charred wasteland. Grand Islanders really need to be taught fire prevention skills. Only you can prevent forest fires."
