"I bo firehall for my daughter's wedding. At first the man seemed very accommodating. The night before my daughter's wedding he gives me an option for the amount for the bar. I told him 52 but was unsure about a few people. He said well we'll do 65 I said no let's do 60. He charged us for 65 people. When we got to the hall to set up it was dirty we had to clean before we could even set up. When we got there the day of the wedding we were told we could get in between 2:00 and 3:00 we could get into the fire house till 4:00 to set up the appetizer table. My cousin called him and told him that the incident and then he got someone over thrre. When I went to pick up the cleaning fee the next Monday he was very vulgar and rude. I told him I understand he was upset that there were two family members at the end got into an. I informed him of what we walked into the night before when we were setting up. There were tables everywhere laying around against the walls chairs laying against the walls. We found raffle tickets, decorations and food on the chairs, tables and floor. The one chair had potato chips on it and it looked like mouse poop. The lady in the office says we have a cleaner on Fridays. I informed her that they obviously missed some stuff but it was not a big deal. He then told me to get the f out of his hall. My thoughts are the reason he was upset because I called him on his errors and he very well was not professional. My daughter's wedding did turn out nice and the bartender was very very courteous. Just wanted everyone to know what to be prepared for if this should not happen."
"Lewiston Fire Department personnel are professional, compassionate, caring and reliable. Twice they assisted my sister who feel at our home in Lewiston. Their care and concern enabled her to be transported safely to the hospital for more care. As the 20th Anniversary of 9/11 is upon us, I am acutely aware of their daily sacrifices for our safety and security. Thank you Chief Myers and all of the Lewiston Fire Company No 1 for your service."
