"I hired Rick Peirce because he is a neighbor, and someone I thought I could trust. But that was a mistake. The house is were I grew up and is very dear to me. I live in NJ and, and I rent the house out. I believe he took advantage of me, because I am an absentee landlord/owner and a women. Without getting into to much detail, he tried to give me an estimate for new windows, new roof and new cedar siding, but then told me I have to pay for the windows myself. When I challenged him on it, he relented and said the estimate included the windows. He then installed new windows into rotted window frames. I don't know much about house construction, but I feel I should have been informed of the rotted window frames. I now have to hire someone else to sand them down and paint the window frames. When he did the roof, he removed the flashing around both chimneys and did not replace them, causing flooding down the chimneys. He refused to answer my text messages after he was fully paid, when I found out about the missing flashing. I had to hire someone else to install the flashing. He failed to reconnect the gutter to the front of the house, because the soffit was rotted, but he never told me that. He installed natural windows, which I picked out, because I didn't recall the house was framed in white. The windows should have been white, and now I have to hire someone else to paint the windows so they match the rest of the house. My new tenant spent a lot of time picking up over 300 roofing nails around the perimeter of the property. After he was paid in full, he refused to address any of these matters. My house looked terrible, and I'm still paying to fix what he refused to. If only he had answered my calls and corrected those issues, my review herein, would have been very different. Caveat emptor."
