"Ryan has installed a ground source geothermal system, tankless water heater, and air source heat pump for me. The quality of their work is top notch. They are prompt, clean, and experts in the hvac and plumbing trade. A great company to work with."
"I originally chose Ryan to install a new ductless mini-split system in my home because they were certified by two of the manufacturers of systems I was considering. Patrick Ryan was knowledgeable about the systems and financing options, and listened carefully to what I needed. Cost estimates from every company I spoke with were almost the same. I'm delighted with Ryan's work, and my entire experience. Everyone (and there were *many* people involved in estimating, planning, obtaining permits, scheduling, and installing) was pleasant, informative, and helpful. I was consulted and kept informed at every step. The work was neat, and a little quicker than expected. And the use and maintenance of the system was thoroughly explained."
"I live in Cranford in a 97 year old house that relies on window unit air conditioners every summer. It's a pain to install/remove them every year so, after much research, I decided to hire a company to install a Ductless Mini-Split System that can be installed without having to open up the plaster & lath walls inside this old house. These "heat pumps" are primarily high-efficiency air conditioning units, but they also provide heat in winter. It turns out that the State offers a lot of incentives (like, up to $2,240 in my case!) and there's an interest-free payment plan -- all through my utility company's website (PSEG). After interviewing four PSEG-approved companies, I hired Ryan Heating/Cooling (of Union) to install the system for several reasons: Ryan's price was reasonable; their suggested placement plan for indoor & outdoor units made a lot of sense; they install Mitsubishi equipment, which is apparently one of the top 2 brands in mini-split systems; and the salesperson (Patrick Ryan, a co-owner) was amazing. I have rarely met a business person with such integrity, professionalism, reliability and demeanor. To be honest, he was 50% of the reason for choosing his company. His crew installed 1 unit outdoors and 4 units indoors (each about the shape of a 1' x 3' breadbox - kitchen, dining room, 2 bedrooms). They did a superb job and left me no mess to clean up each day -- during the 3 day installation (about 7 am - 3:30 pm). They even removed an old wall air conditioner, took it away, installed new drywall and did an excellent job of spackling over the seams. Their team leader communicated with me all day long, keeping me updated. The ~8 crew members were absolutely incredible ... knowledgeable, efficient, super-nice and extremely clean and respectful of working in someone's home when it's raining and muddy outside (they wore boot covers). Since I like DIY projects, I learned a lot from the crew over those 3 days; they seemed always willing to share know-how. And the office staff who handled all the permits, billing, paperwork, the monthly-billing program with my utility company, etc. were a pleasure to work with. They called/emailed regularly to keep me updated and about equipment, town permits and schedules... and were really nice to deal with. Because l chose a company from the PSEG website of approved contractors, I was allowed to pay for up to $15,000 of the total project cost over the next 7 years through my monthly PSEG bill -- INTEREST FREE!!! That made this project extremely manageable, financially speaking. I've only used this Mitsubishi system a week but so far it's doing well. It seems best for heating when the outdoor temp is between 40 and 70 degrees. Below 40, I simply turn all the units off (with their remotes) and flip a switch to turn on the old (baseboard/gas) heating system; and I can turn on a unit in any room if I want extra heat in that room. I'm looking forward to seeing how the A/C works this summer. The team leader explained how to use it and encouraged me to call him with any questions/concerns. Having bought this because I was highly impressed with the neighbor's mini-split system installed last year, I am encouraged that this will be a great air conditioning system this summer -- which is its primary use. All in all, I've never been so comfortable investing money in a product or a contractor for my home. Thanks to everyone at Ryan for your help!!! PS. The photo shows the 6000 Btu unit near the kitchen ceiling."
"I purchased new Daiken HVAC for my condo from Ryan and had them install it. Initially had many doubts and question about my options, but with Ryan I had access to real engineer who physically came into my place to analyze the space and provided professional recommendation/advice on the type of unit I need. They were very accommodating with time and quick in getting the Job completed. Based on my interactions with other piers in my building, they all speak more favorable of the service Ryan provide compared to other competitors."
"It was a positive experience from the first call to schedule an estimate to the final day of work. They worked diligently and safely wearing masks as necessary since this was during the COVID-19 pandemic. We had an old oil burning furnace in this 138 year old house. They replaced it and converted us to gas and also removed the oil tank from our basement. They replaced old leaking pipes as well. The first day of work was the noisiest and that was to be expected. They also replaced the thermostat. The price was reasonable. The workers were courteous and knowledgeable. They cleaned up well after the job was complete. I would recommend this company. Overall it was a good experience. The heating system is now more efficient than before. Thank you Ryan Inc! Well done!"
