I like that they have the option to guarantee their work for 50 years for only 1000 more. When it comes to the details on our home they transformed my house. Anything I asked for North Kit did their best to accommodate. There was a misunderstanding and our gutter guards were tossed out, but they replaced them free of charge. Our siding was completed in about one week time, the team was neat and cleaned up my yard, and went above and beyond. Highly recommend the NJ Northkit team!"

"I found Northkit Roofing by a random search on Google and this was the best chance I took in all the home improvement projects I had so far. We moved into this 40 yo house with original cedar siding that was failing. It leaks without fail every time there’s a slightly heavier rain. At first I wasn’t quite sure I wanted to go ahead with the project because the quotes I got from a few other contractors were forbiddingly high. Also I wasn’t sure how good Northkit was at doing siding, because most of their reviews were related to roofing projects. If you’re like me and having doubts about it, hope my review would give you a better understanding of the company and the whole process. At first Vaughn the sales boy came over and brought us a catalogue. He introduced the whole process of replacing siding. Unlike some other contractors who told us the new sidings could be placed on top of the old ones, Vaughn was very adamant that the old sidings must go. He showed us what would happen if we didn’t remove them. It only helps the contractors to finish the work more easily and faster. It won’t be good for you down the road. After quite a few phone calls back and forth we finally got a very reasonable deal with 0 interest financing for 6 years. We wouldn’t be able to afford it if there weren’t a financing option. The price we got is also lower than other contractors who didn’t even want to remove the old siding. Vaughn also agreed to throw in gutter guards which we were thinking of doing for a while. So my suggestion is that tell him your needs and budget, and he will try his best to accommodate them for you. The next week Chuck, the commander in chief of our project, came by and took detailed measurements of all the walls, counted all exterior lights and power outlets, and took pictures of the house for future reference. The design we want including both horizontal and vertical planks, as well as two colors for different parts of the house. Chuck was very knowledgeable and patient in the whole process. He explained any question I had. And I had a lot of them! There was a few back and forth email exchanges during the final design which is understandable as it was such a complicated one. Eventually everything was rendered the way we wanted. Make sure you convey your idea very clearly during this step and everything is what you want in the final design, because they would order the materials accordingly. It did take a few weeks more than planned to start our project, because the weather this year was brutal. But once it kicked off it progressed very fast. I worked with some other contractors before. They would work at my house and go to someone else the next day. It ended up taking much longer than I’d like. With Northkit you get the whole team dedicated to your project and finish it before they go to the next one. They also brought their own portaloo, which was really nice for a 2-week long project. Gus was the supervisor onsite. He took all of our requests without objection. Just tell him what you want and he always helps. He even painted the wires for us without extra charge although that wasn’t in the contract. He also made sure the workers understood all of our requirements. There was no ambiguity. He was here most of the days. When he was away, he always answered my calls instantly. If you’ve dealt with someone who turns a deaf ear to your calls, you’d understand how much I appreciate that. The workers work very hard to finish it as soon as possible. They worked all week including Saturdays and everyday they worked more than 10hrs. This is the most diligent contractor team I’ve worked with. Carlos the team leader speaks English well enough to understand all my questions. He helped carry out a custom design I wanted to prevent leak and it works fantastic. No more leaking during rain! The quality of work is superb. We got constant compliments about how our house makes the whole neighborhood look nicer. So if you’re thinking about doing a siding project, I’d highly recommend Northkit."
