"Trusting someone to build your house isn't a decision to be taken lightly. You hear the horror stories of shoddy work, months of delays, waves of unexpected expenses, and sometimes even contractors that can't be reached once they get their final payment! You just want to find someone that'll simply do an honest job for a reasonable fee. Coming in with decades of experience, being a local builder, and having recently renovated a friend's house, Glenn seemed like the right contractor to entrust with a project requiring such an enormous amount of financial and emotional investment. In hindsight, we couldn't have picked a better builder. From the start, Glenn's professionalism and transparency were comforting. Throughout the build (a complete ranch to colonial rebuild), we so appreciated his attention to detail and willingness to truly partner with us in making sure we would love the finished product. He regularly met with us to patiently guide us step by step, decision by decision. Glenn wears many hats and he will pore over plans and designs, stressing over issues, so that you won't have to as much. As a project manager with subcontractor connections that span literal generations, he is second to none in efficiency and coordination. You can tell that Glenn takes pride in his work and while on the project, he will treat your house as if it were his own. He actually told us that at one point, and he has certainly lived up to his word. In the end, even with a bunch of bumps along the way and unexpected issues (as should be expected), the project was completed relatively on budget, months earlier than any other contractor dare promised us, and we couldn't be happier with our new home. In the post-COVID era of rocketing prices, never-ending "supply chain issues" and price gouging, Glen Rock Construction has been a beacon of integrity and excellence - you know, someone you can trust."

"I also recommend Glen Rock Construction. We started working with Glen Rock Construction about a year ago, went through the bidding process and crucially Glen’s review of our architect’s plans. He was not the cheapest but he was competitive and more importantly he helped us review what was missed in the drawings and what might not work as well in the field as the drawings indicated. Glen was also an excellent partner throughout, very meticulous in both his planning and his selection of sub-contractors. He is pretty demanding on the home owner to get the 1000s of decision made in time to support the project flow, but that is critical to keeping the project and costs on plan. All of his subs did outstanding work and any issues Glen managed personally until the result was up to spec. His team or one of his subs were on site almost every day the ~4 month project, except when weather was the driver on the exterior work. We blew up a second floor on an expanded ranch, replaced all windows, roof, siding and interior finishes. We are extremely happy with the process and the final product 6 months later and in particular felt that Glen’s advice on the materials of construction were the right mix of price value and quality. If I had one thing to do over, I would have spent more time thinking through the light switches in advance, as it was a renovation this ended up being a bit of a frustration in the end."
