"When the major beams holding up my 100 year old house finally collapsed, I had to find a general contractor to fix the problem. I vetted about four other different companies, but only one showed up with a pretty good idea of what was needed to rectify the problems. Well, I picked a winner. That was Gustavo Lejano, Contracting. I chose this company because Mr Gustavo had the necessary package deal to get the job done right. He had knowledge of current industry codes, the diligence to show up on time, and the men that followed in the same qualities. The project was a six week project and I am supper pleased with the end result. The foundation of my house is fixed, stable and sound for years to come. The foundation is also now completely up to current industry codes and the value of the house has increased. It is very satisfying when one finds a nugget and Gustavo Lejano Contracting is a nugget I highly recommend. I want to add the negatives. Mr Gustavo knew that when the house would be lifted the walls throughout the house would crack. Something I did not know. He should have made me aware and offered to repair at a reasonable price. He did not. There is a beam in the kitchen area that expanse in the summer and retracts in the winter. He should have fixed this as it was part of the repairs, but he refused when I brought it to his attention. Although, the work under the house was good for the most part there is definite need for improvement on their business."

"We've worked with Gustavo on two projects and I would absolutely hire him again in the future. The most recent project was fairly large. We hired him as the general contractor to convert our unfinished attic space into two bedrooms and one bathroom. This involved demolishing a portion of the roof, framing a large dormer, and the entire interior, electrical, plumbing, insulation and all finishing. I trusted Gustavo throughout the process and could tell that he put great pride in his work and was always striving for quality. For example, I am not particularly knowledgeable about construction, but one of our neighbors pointed out to us that they noticed he was using high quality lumber when they saw the materials outside our house. We had the architect on site several times throughout the project and he never had any concerns with the work being done. No issues came up during any of our inspections by the town and the building inspector also made comments to us that the work was done well. We got several bids on the project and I also appreciated that Gustavo gave us an itemized proposal including separating material and labor costs for all the work he was planning to do. He was also willing to work with us on creating a reasonable payment schedule for the project. The other project was more medium size. During our home inspection prior to purchasing our house the inspector identified that the construction on the deck in the back was done very poorly by the previous owners. The joists were all rotting, flashing was not installed correctly causing the sill plate of the house to begin rotting. The project involved repairing the poorly done work. The project was a few years back so I can't remember all the details, but there were no hiccups of note that I can recall."
