Reviews of Veterinary Emergency Group
"Awesome staff. I was updated constantly and asked if I wanted or needed anything. They made me feel comfortable and more than welcome to stay the night with Bailey in isolation. Once his temp went down I felt comfortable to leave and get some rest knowing he was in good hands."
"ALL of the staff here were so kind and wonderful during this very tough night. They took amazing care of our cat, explained everything that was going on, gave a great breakdown of our options and costs, and best of all our cat was able to spend his last few hours with his kiddos getting loved on the whole time, instead of separated from us like some other emergency vets would do. Cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you so much for helping us see our Moby over the rainbow bridge!"
"My 13 year old beagle, Ranger, was experiencing rapid respirations and panting. I called to see about the wait time and Jessica was very kind. She said she would let the team know we were on our way and that they could see us immediately. A team of nurses, (Fatima, Sam, and Diana) quickly assessed vitals and Dr. E asked questions to get a better idea of the problem. She listened to his heart and did a quick sonogram to rule out heart complications that could lead to similar symptoms. When that was clear, they put him in an oxygenated environment to try to improve his oxygen intake and slow down his breathing. We ended up opting for x-rays. They were able to identify the issue with only 2 X-rays and didn’t charge us for the entire set of X-rays. Everyone was very kind and loved on Ranger. They even called the next day to see how he was doing. The facility was really nice. They offered snacks and drinks and continued to check in to see how I was doing, not just Ranger. I highly recommend VEG for pet emergency situations."
"My cat had to have a huge blockage removed and our vet sent us to VEG Alexandria. Dr Germaine did the first procedure and her decisions and insight were lifesaving. They caught another medical issue before discharging us, and understanding my financial needs they sent me to a low cost clinic. This showed me they truly had my boy’s best interest in mind. The doctors communicated with the other clinic so all I had to focus on was my cat. Emergency vets are an inherently stressful and chaotic environment yet I felt so seen, heard, and taken care of. I didn’t want to leave his side and they never treated this like a nuisance, involving me in every step of the way. When I did leave I got updates on my cat, frequent texts/ phone calls on his status, and I never felt blindsided or confused despite the constant and scary changes in his condition. Everyone including the receptionists and techs were incredibly knowledgeable but also patient, explaining every step and detail. My Yam is healthy and happy recovering at home now thanks to VEG."
"Milo was First Patient on Grand Opening. Had a great experience. My Frenchie was having a bad day vomiting and was weak. Jessica and Nurses Angie, Diana and Ashton were so great with Milo. Dr. Becker was informative and provided care options. Thank you all Milo is back to his old self. Love the fact that Milo wasn't whisked away behind closed doors. The floor plan is open and everyone was welcoming and attentive."
