About the Business
Welcome to the Islamic Awareness Center
Located at 74 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton, New York, the Islamic Awareness Center has been a cornerstone of the community since its establishment in 2001. As a mosque and place of worship, we are dedicated to being a Da’wah Organization. Our mission is to convey the true message of Islam to non-Muslims and actively work towards dispelling misinformation about Islam and Muslims.
We warmly invite anyone interested in learning more about Islam to reach out to us. Whether you have questions about our beliefs, practices, or simply wish to engage in meaningful dialogue, we are here to assist. Feel free to email or call us for more information.
Our community is vibrant and welcoming, with facilities open for the five daily prayers. Join us for Salāt al-jumuʿah (صلاة الجمعة) every Friday from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm. In the vicinity, you will find several halal restaurants offering both dine-in and take-out options, open late to cater to your needs.
If you visit and find the door locked, please call the number listed on the door for assistance. We are committed to ensuring that everyone feels at home within our community.
We are proud to have been featured in local media, such as "Faces of Islam" by WBNG Binghamton in 2011, highlighting our efforts and contributions to the community.
Reflecting on the words of the Qur’an, "The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing” (Qur’an 2:261), we strive to embody these values in all our endeavors.
We look forward to welcoming you to our community and sharing our journey of faith and understanding.

"I was en route with family on a long journey across the state. The Masjid was locked but I called the number on the door and they gave me access. The Masjid is very beautifully built and has all necessary facilities. Alhamdulillah it helped us a lot on our journey!"
"Very friendly and welcoming. Stopped for Asr prayers on the way to Syracuse."
"I attended a Janazza at this masjid and a burial at their Islamic Cemetary. The mosque is nice, the prayer area is spacious, all was clean and a quiet place to pray. The Imam, his wife and others are personable and accommodating. I felt welcome and was made comfortable to pray. After 30+ years being a Muslimah, I attended my 1st Islamic Burial where the body was buried without a casket. The Imam was tenderly present while attending to the body and the family and friends of the deceased. The Masjid Associates were tender accommodating to the deceased while lowering him into the grave, and in getting the janazza procession of family and ftiends through traffic to the cemetary. It was a thrilling Islamic experience for me and I am grateful to Allah, our Source Creator, for allowing me to attend the Islamic Awareness Center's Madjid and Burial Grounds. I am thrilled with the masjid, its Imam, the Associate men and women, and the burial experience. It was so spiritually satisfying. I highly recommend The Islamic Awareness Center Mosque Its Imam and their Associstes for prayers, Janazzas, and any other Islamic needs."
