"My favorite cheese store. So many cool unique cheeses. It's also a drop off location for the local CSA. Their fresh mozzarella is amazing and they have fresh eggs and other dairy items too."
"When I first visited my friend in Eastwood she said, oh and of course we have to stop by the local cheese shop. Now that I live here, I say the same thing. I tell all my friends that it's hands down my favorite local shop. This wonderful store has tons of curated food and decor, I'd hesitate to call it anything less than a perfect small grocery. Super friendly and helpful staff who are always willing to go above and beyond if you give them any sort of ideas or thoughts about what you're looking for. On Sundays they also have fresh sandwiches that have become a regular routine for me and my partner. A true gem in Syracuse and an anchor store of the Eastwood neighborhood."
"Overall, very impressed with the Fresh cheese, and charcuterie plate I ordered for an event I hosted. The presentation and everything was exceptional! It was my first time checking it out. They have great hours and open Sunday which is a plus. The owner and staff were all very accommodating!"
"What a wonderful find! I'd read about this new store in the newspaper some months ago. But today was the first time I found myself in their neighborhood. I sought them out for the specific purpose of buying a good parmigiano reggiano. My wife is Italian and I often cook Italian food. For too long we had settled for a mediocre grated parm from Wegmans but I knew from traveling in Italy that we could do much better. I was not disappointed. When I described to the cheesemonger what I was looking for she offered me a taste of a delicious parmigiano reggiano cheese. The good news was that the price was only 8% higher than the mediocre cheese I have been buying from Wegmans. After wrapping up a pound of the cheese for me, I continue looking around the shop. I discovered that this is much more than a cheese shop. They specialize in products produced in New York State. This includes beverages, pickles, olives, crackers, spreads and sauces. I chose a chocolate bar made by Sweet on Chocolate which has its store downtown in Armory Square. I also purchased a new shape of pasta by Sporkful called cascatelli, ie waterfalls. The grooved curled pasta looks like it will be great for holding on to pasta sauce. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. I look forward to returning to sample other products sold by the Curd Nerds."
"My wife and I stopped over at The Curd Nerd while visiting some of the local businesses in Eastwood. We were greeted as soon as we entered by owner Sarah. Sarah was a wealth of information and story telling about all the diverse cheeses. She gave us samples of all the cheeses we were curious about. We never felt rushed and she was able to answer questions and give us reconditions. We left with with a few different cheeses~ Manchego, Brie, Cheddar, and Fresh Mozzarella. All were delicious and top quality. We also purchased two different kinds of salami as well. The shop was also filled with local produce, goods, cheese products, books and such. We picked up some local pickles, crackers and stickers along with the cheeses and salami. Visiting the Curd Nerd was a fun and delicious experience. I see myself returning here often!"
